Graphics are bad after pact no matter what I put the settings on, can anyone help?

Not to be a debbie downer, but I think there might not be a solution until another patch comes out. I'm having the EXACT same problem. I had someone in the IT field who's good with this kind of stuff go through everything in game +my laptop to try and fix the issue, but it seems like the cause is the patch and the issue can't be fixed on our side? It's not just the graphics for me, for example my hands are all stretched out and glitched when I enter a room or press 'escape'. Might be best for us to report it as a bug atm😔

I have tried everything and nothing is working. It's strange I am experiencing this problem but my brother isn't.

it's been reported hundreds of time in their ticket system. If you go on the website you can vote up the one's you're dealing with. When I went on there one of the tickets with this issue was in-progress. They knew, and it had been voted on over 99 times

I found a fix for it!!!

#

I followed this:
Firstly, you want to navigate to your Hogwarts legacy game settings file.

Head over to "This PC" and then into (C:)
Users -> Your username
AppData (If you can't see this, click "View" at the top, and tick "Hidden Items"
Local
Hogwarts Legacy -> Saved - > Config -> WindowsNoEditor
Right click GameUserSettings -> Open with -> Notepad
Scroll down until you see the heading "[ScalabilityGroups]"
At the bottom of the list, change "s.RaytracingQuality" to "0"
Lastly, change "sg.TextureQuality" to "4"
File -> Save -> Close notepad.

Now just open up Hogwarts legacy and check out those faces!

Note
Try not to alter your graphics settings In-game once you have performed this fix, it can undo the changes and the face glitch can return.

YEP and some stuff is kinda loading but most of it is fuzzy and gross. I am so just...frustrated. I JUST WANT TO PLAY MY GAME

Tried the fix. Still doesn't seem to fix my issue. Its like the textures arent rendering. I have my textures set to ultra but its like it auto reverses any changes I make back to poop graphics.

it seems to be RTX, the rays don't have a bounce limit or something; no mods, enable/disable RTX causes it. Funky.

it happens in other areas too, the library, some random halls near the entrances, anywhere where a 'sun' hits surfaces. This is a less extreme example

Like why don't they do a beta branch on steam or something? They could nyx all of this crap with like 2 weeks headway before GA launch.
I'd bet solid money that players would be more than willing to report bugs for an experimental branch.

I'd get the argument that experimental branches are more for MP games, but theyre doing pretty active work on this still and essentially back-handing a large % of players every update.
If they plan on releasing more paid content I'd battle that it's a must

I tried Ascendio and tried the person's extra stuff as well, didn't work. I don't even have rtx options available

Yep mine looks just like that. It used to be stunning, and sometimes it flickers back to stunning when I adjust the settings, but seconds later it auto reverts back to that crap. I know my PC can run it because it ran it fine before. Something in the patch is causing it to not allow us to tweak settings or somethin....

100% this. Thankfully disabling all RTX settings fixed it for me. Horrible patch. I’m also experiencing weird random crashes after teleporting or after a cutscene.

Someone has suggesting rolling back to the previous patch.
