@dull karma Differs per person I'd say. There's some really good memorizing techniques. One that I heard is very good is to couple it to pictures. Each symbol represents a picture. Like the A for apple as an example (not that there's A but yk) also don't start with Kanji, start with Hirigana or Katakana.
