Not really because Vice City you are on a linear path. The Witcher 3 you are role playing as Geralt, what choices do you make, what are the consequences of those choices, who do you romance, who is your Geralt at the end of the game? My Geralt could be different to how your Geralt turned out.

@compact pasture It's not as simple as a workaround, The main character in Shadow of war cannot die, He keeps coming back and back in a loop of eternal suffering as he tries to free Mordor of Sauron's grasp. The thing is, he keeps coming back yes but people remembered he died. That's gonna be hard to put into a harry potter game.
