@torpid smelt problem with multiplayer is dev's attention and resources/manpower is divided... resulting in an inferior product.

multiplayer games also have to be built completely differently, like waiting at a door for everyone to proceed to the next room, etc., it just breaks immersion and reminds you you're just "playing a game"
