We know Universal and Nintendo have a close relationship, because of Mario Land.

Nintendo has seen ridiculous success with Animal Crossing, and its periodic updates. They shipped a game that wasn't done (adding stuff as free DLC after launch), but the first bit was good enough that bajillions of copies sold.

If Universal/ WB takes note of that, we could get a good game, with gradual DLC releases to flesh the game out for a year or more.
