The game goes dark at the start
Since today I have the problem that my game gets dark after the start, so no blackscreen but really just dark. It's like the game changes the screen brightness. But as soon as I leave the game, the screen gets back to normal brightness.

I hope someone has a solution to the problem.

  • Reinstall was made
  • Data verification by Steam has been attempted
  • Settings have already been changed in various ways, to no avail.

Seit heute habe ich das Problem das mein Spiel nach dem start dunkel wird, also kein blackscreen sondern wirklich nur dunkel. Es ist als würde das spiel die bildschirmhelligkeit verändern. Do you have any software from the manufacturer that might detect a game running and switch to dynamic brightness (That just happens to be low because the game itself is fairly bright)

Cant reproduce it on my end, though there are a few things you could still try:
Stop "Game Bar" in Task manager
Disable Game Mode in Windows Settings

windows game mode is not activated, I have already checked this.
It is as if dark mode is activated, which it is not.
The problem occurs with my wife and I can't reproduce it myself, which doesn't make it easy.

In advanced power options in the "Display" category, do you have an option called "Adaptive brightness"? If yes try toggling it

This option does not exist, but I have just noticed that this only occurs in full screen mode. in windowed mode it remains bright

A temporary workaround would be to play in windowed mode and use a tool like borderless gaming to get a fullscreen window
