Unless you sit on a wad of cash, don't buy chests
Buy BP/season pass instead, you'll get a ton of gold and goodies
But I suggest before spending money on the game, play some 50-100 hours to see if it's up your alley at all, lest you spend money on a game you realize isn't for you after 20 hours
I mean, since it's free, you might as well give it a thorough try before spending money on it, that's what I did at least

- wait for him to release
- react when you see him release. You have two choices : either release your attack, or tap dodge
If he transforms into gray and you release, you win. If he doesn't, you clash so equal.
If you tap dodged and got good timing, you can punish, but he can't, wether he transformed into gray or not
That's it. The one releasing heng sword lmb can win 0 % of the time, except if he transforms into a dodge, which just resets the mind game basically
