as a newish player i wanna ask... is tessa kinda bad considering how strong the other characters are? i get that her ult has low range requirements and the enchant can be deadly, but it feels countered by a lot of other ults

I think Tessa is actually a fantastic starter character. She has really good balance of stun, heals, usable-under-attack, etc. it could be argued that every hero can be easily countered by another (I also love Matari and Valda)

Starting out I recommend just trying them all out and playing the one that feels like the best fit. Naraka is really good at balancing every hero to fit different play styles

Haunted Hotel (has been hilarious!!!), creeped out/Goosebumps/are you afraid of the dark all amazing kids horror -ish, like I said - Halloweentown movies series are absolute classics(!!!), trick or treat is getting more adult in terms of scary. Bly manor and Hill house are getting much more adult, downfall of the house of usher is like slow creepy horror, and then something like wayward will haunt your dreams yet not let you sleep. I can recommend so much more I love horror and Halloween/scary genre in general šŸ«°šŸ¼šŸ™‚

There's a couple CN Kurumi I've seen and gotten videos of who are on PC who are incredible that I could find for ya but when in trios even the best get steamrolled unexpectedly

Im playing ranked and am kinda stuck at 3.5k... well mostly that's a combination of me playing at stable 180-190 ping (so I can't punish a lot of getups) and me having 55fps (painfully laggy and hard to learn combos) and since I can't do anything about the ping and am looking to buy a new device anyways (my current lappy is 5 years of age) I wanted to see if I even could make it with a decent device... I had my friend who owns a laptop with rtx 4060 try blood war and even he was getting 90-100 fps during combat at low preset... So I was wondering is there even any point... Like if even 4060 will only get 100 frames maybe it isn't even possible

Kurumi is interesting tho - she is all utility and as someone who has usually less than 40 ms but also limited to 60 fps, what I can beat recommend is just focusing on her utility and predicting what has to happen before it happens. Sometimes I can beat the best players, and sometimes I get immediately destroyed. Kurumi is not for solos. She can literally break the game in trios with how amazing she is bit is very challenging to use well

I will say tho - with heroes like Kurumi, Wuchen - some who have the worst GPU,fps,ms,etc can still outplay the best if they are exceptional at strategy. This game is very good at balancing characters and some heroes are really hard to play but amazing when used wisely
