I'd ask in #🔱┃weapons-combat but a quick TLDR of what they all do:
(Focus = charge attack)

Longsword is a jack of all trades, the long range focuses are very useful and it's kit is generally very well rounded with quick normals that have decent range. It's one of the more executionally demanding weapons once you start getting anywhere past basic day one BNBs though.

Fistblades are shortest range, quickest normals, and also have the most easy bake combos in the game, but their anti airs are lacking and their advanced combos cap out earlier then many others. Their focuses also aren't that good.

Nunchucks have lacking combos but very quick normals for their range, and has a special meter that builds up that you can spend to unleash a huge flurry of attacks that does big damage.

Katana/Heng Sword are straightforward with decent range and decent speed, but are mainly notable for being combo MONSTERS, with even their basic combos being strong and their advanced combos being some of the best and most consistent in the game. Katana is more simple, while heng sword trades a bit of damage for tricky movement potential.

Greatsword/Polesword give up having literally any combos for having massive, high damage buttons, though they're a little slow. They also have a unique defensive mode where instead of clashing attacks when 2 collide like other weapons do, they will block the hit, and can charge focuses while blocking.

Spear/Staff have big, but skinny normals that can convert from far away, and a unique perfect release timing on their charges that gives them new enhanced moves (on spear)/a stance with more followups (on staff)

Dagger/Fan are mobility galore, as dash canceling out of their attacks will buff your dash and give you unique follow ups out of the dash. They also have a strong, but unorthodox combo game that requires unusual starters to get going, but can be crazy rewarding.

the only issue with linux i have now is peripheral support when it comes to stuff like side mouse buttons. i have raver naga hyperspeed v2. but side buttons dont really work yet.
