It's true that the game relies a lot on the players' spending in exchange for premium items. There various tier systems from legendary to extreme skins and even higher tier with star-collection. Cosmetics play a vital role in this game but it should not be the only driver. I feel the main difficulty is the high skill level of the game, which can be intimidating for new or average players causing the player retention of new players to drop. It's almost a landslide win in most cases against skilled players. There are a lot of factors differentiating players from the hours of play, skill development, internet stability and ping reliability.

If I have something to add. Honestly I think that you require to know more than basics to start playing this game at a decent level (Even without all the problems the game has regarding ping, etc.). Its steep learning curve cause the player quit before they even try to make friends, aka there is one less reason to attach them to the game.

We can also add that console clients are very poorly optimized, you can't play at more than 60 fps on xbox for example, it's a console that runs games like gears 5 at 120 fps.

Rift traversal experience also sucks a lot. With control, using your storage, weapons, etc is a NIGHTMARE.

9841 is the peach pink color (instead of cold pink) and 852 is a gold star with the lace stocking but the skirt is not as short as the reds.

9737 is a white kurumi and 962 is the red star with the clear tights, but its not as short as the laced stockings

many people on the cn server would look for extreme stars like a certain number of the black kurumi dont have green/tint on the shirt skirt and socks. or extremly pink kurumis from 9950 and up because they dont want any peachy colors, or like a white kurumi thats 9675 and up but not 9700 yet because they say the 9675+ white kurumis are the whitest (meaning theres no yellow and peachy tone on the shirts and stuff). and even the second star some red star is "better" than others cus its shorter or makes the skirt shine brighter, thats why u would see some skins selling more expensive than others when they look very very similar

first star: 9500-9675 is black kurumi, 9676-9830 is white kurumi, and 9841+ is pink kurumi with the lower numbers being peachier and 9950 and up being pure cold pink @unreal stump

and for the second star 950-965 is clear tights, just the length of the skirt is different. 966-981 is kitty tights and some r shorter than the other some makes the skirt shinier than other. And 982-999 is lace stocking hehe
