Certain ads have a very small X button on the upper right corner that I can’t activate. I don’t know if it’s a fake button or it’s way too close to the corner so you can’t tap on it with certain screens. That thing is making me close and restart the app several times a day. 
Can you do something about it?
It looks like that. I noticed it appears slightly more cornered than the previous fast forward button, so it’s unreachable.

i'm having a similar issue with an x that's even smaller - instead of closing the ad, it brings me to the app store, and then it's about a 40/60 chance of being able to back out and close the ad properly OR the app reloading entirely and not giving me the reward :/

That’s exactly the kind of problem I have here. It’ll send you to the app store instead because it isn’t functioning, so it takes your tapping as if you were tapping elsewhere (it will send you to app store anyway if you click on the center or on any spot). Whereas the fast forward button and the sound on/off button, if any, on the upper left do work. And yes, I’m missing lots of rewards because of this. It made me lose all my rewards I got from winning the Running challenge. The challenge itself disappeared leaving me no rewards, and the support team isn’t replying to my query.
UPDATE: In fact, now I’m getting that kind of ads only.

I'm getting the ads with the skip to google play as the only close option, and they are crashing the game when opening the play store causing a loss of reward too. Reported it to support months ago, and still no fix.
