Interviews really depend on the company.
I'd suggest working on your Angular knowledge by building projects and explaining loudly what you are trying to do. A common issue is not about not being able to use some Angular feature but to explain what it does exactly.
I think it's impossible to give you good information without knowing what your skills and areas for improvements are
thank you sir
i believe i have advanced level in angular but there are always things to learn about it
the projects we built we always use a library that we made ourselves so we can reuse components in different projects. when it comes to the project it we always use ngrx to manage the state. and everything has to be tested and every interface has to be responsive. probably my weak side lies in the backend cuz we only use firebase functions never worked with java or python.
one more thing i never had like a professional interview so that's what i'm scared of cuz i have no idea about what they would ask
My interviews were all very different in the technical sense. I think it highly depends on the level you are interviewing for and the person interviewing you. Some very extremely trivial and some went really went deeper into JS (e.g. event loop, prototypes). I think that besides solid technical skills the most important part is always the how they like your personality.
I always happen to first meet a recruiter before planning the interview. Ask them how it'll go because it might be:
- live coding
- open discussion
- homework
I think that especially when you are applying to a remote role, you have to make sure that the interviewers understand that you are very reliable and trustworthy.
And agreed about Dominic last message
The interview is not just about what you know but how you behave
Be confident about your skills and always be honest
But mind it depends on interviewers too:
- i aced an interview with no pro experience about the job (ReactJS)
- i failed one about Angular because they acted like they know better
The worst thing will be to earn some experience at interviews
thank you all really cuz that's what i was looking forward to hear , tips for real experience
really thank you guys for your time
and efforts
I think you should come back for additional advice when you have concrete job descriptions you will apply to
And if you are not able to answer a question at all, admit it: interviewers will quickly understand you have no clue anyway. Loosing 5 minutes when you know the interviewee is just trying to fake is not something valuable for you ^^
This is what I meant with always be honest 😄
yeah for sure , i believe if i fake something soon or later they will figure it out so being honest prorably will always pay off
