I’ve just finished building my mercury one.1 and have started tuning it. This is how my temperature tower looks for PETG And idk why it looks this horrible. Please help. I’ve tuned my rotation distance and PID so far.

Have you tuned retraction? Also have you dried your filament? PETG tends to be pretty stringy, especially if it hasn’t been dried

What about the banding? What would cause that?

A few things can cause z banding, misalignment, bent lead screw. Which printer do you have, 5 pro or 5 plus? Are you still using stock z? When you run z up and down does your lead screw wobble around?
