Just thought I'd share some progress so far, my ender 5 sat in the cupboard for about 3 years due to things happening in life as they do. So the other week I decided I'm going to re-do it.
Found an old bookmark for the mercury project and seen its on 1.1 so went with it ordered everything from Aliexpress and arrived yesterday 16/09/2023.
Printed parts in: Bambu ASA Red.
Time taken: 8hrs (for everything)
Stripped the ender 5 down today and was assembling parts that I can (still waiting on steppers) to find I'd ordered 4mm bore idler. DOH! Idiota indeed. But have ordered and will get back to work when new idlers arrive.
