This project has been a long time coming and I now have the will power to get this going again. I had previously purchased the Mercury One kit from Fabreeko, MIC6 Bed, Bed Heater and some new PTFE Lead Screws but they have sat dormant until now.

The purpose for this Ender 5 Plus will be to make larger cosplay elements and prints that cannot fit into the other printers that I have. The electronics will be upgraded from the stock system that was running before and mounted on the side (possibly).

I plan on taking this slow and getting the pieces right or as right as I can until I decide to make more changes 😀

Octopus EZ, EZ2209 on order and shipping soon for part of the electronics in this build. Extra rails have been ordered and received for the Hydra installation. Waiting for the Hydra Kit to become available on the Fabreeko Site.

1.1.5 Stepper Towers are printing now and hopefully assembled today. Used 180 grit to smooth out those 5x30 shafts to allow the flanges to slide smoothly

Slow and steady wins the race for that, sand a little then check with both pulley and bearing.

True story - I was doing half at a time and then flipping it around in the drill to do the other half. Once the pieces would smoothly go from one side to another, I called it a day on that piece.
