ahh, its abit intermitent, sometimes i get really nice prints and other times the print warps off the build plate. and i wont have changed any settings and other times i get areas where its curled on over hangs

My general ABS adhesion advice beyond the usual is to keep stuff to the center of the bed (if stock) and check the seal on your enclosure. Glue and brims only go so far. ABS is very finicky about its environment.
