Ear defender recs

I usually wear my bose noise cancelling headphones, but I learned the fire alarm in my apartment is so loud it’s immobilizing and I can’t muster up the energy to actually evacuate the building. Luckily the last few times have been false alarms (normal college things) but I’m worried when there is an actual fire I won’t be able to evacuate. Does anyone think ear defenders could help in this situation? And which ones would you recommend
