I’ve had chronic nausea for a couple of years but recently it’s gotten REALLY bad and nothing is touching it. I’ve tried natural remedies like ginger and peppermint, I’ve tried travel sickness bands and tablets, I’ve tried most of the over the counter meds you can for my age and I’ve brought it up to my doctor but he doesn’t want to put me on medication because he’s worried about the side effects actually causing more problems. Does anyone have any recommendations or know something that could help?

heyo! sorry for a late answer i only just joined the server yesterday! i have pretty bad nausea too, i’m just curious as to if you know what triggers your nausea? ie: strong smells, temperature, specific activity, motion sickness, etc.? /genq /nf
i’ll still share some general info on what i do to help my nausea.

you’ve mentioned you’ve tried many things including peppermint which is my personal go to. I normally carry a mint or peppermint scented hand sanitizer and i sniff the sent of it. sometimes i find peppermint can be a bit too much and actually make my nausea worse. carrying some spare mints like life savers or gum can help too.
Something that i also commonly use is Ginger Ale (ie: Canada Dry, Shewps?) and/or 7Up/Sprite. I find it works better if you let the pop go “flat” and when it’s at a temperature closer to room temp. although cold is just as good, take small slow sips!
Other things i use: Pepto-Bismol, ice packs, i try to find a spot with less people, lights and sound, if there’s an animal nearby i can pet i do that (it’s like a distraction), if possible i’ll laying down in the recovery position, and ofc water and electrolytes!

A few remedies and/or relievers i’ve heard can help are; taking a sniff of rubbing alcohol, pressure points, soup broth, soda crackers (i call them soup crackers), some yoga poses?, Cinnamon, or (tw: emetophobia) || getting sick/throwing up ||.
Sorry for all the info dump, i hope your nausea lets up enough for you to try and enjoy things, sending positive vibes your way :D
