for example: what if saying beep boop to makoto in that one moment led to a social link reverse
if i do add them, i at least prefer them to be not so obvious 'this is the evil choice' at least

more complex and nuanced social interactions that still fit the protag's personality and isnt a 180 of them
i think also when you look at p3p/p4, social link reverses and breaks are rare so people aren't really expecting them

for the ghosting slinks, i will have many warnings and even a grace period where it's not full reverse at least

(in og i tried to amass like 3 requests per trip, i think in royal i upped it to 5 since there were more requests and i was progressing confidants faster)
another incentive is that i'll have palace alert in mementos too (if i can get it to work well), and if you max out, you'll be kicked just like i've done with the palaces
... quest bosses give a lot of alert already, making it so that you have limited amount of bosses per run
honestly there shouldnt be a lot of quest backlog here, considering how slowed down confidants are
i think its a logical evolution of like p3 confidants breaking and getting apathy syndrome if you leave them in tartarus too long, which is cool in concept but undercooked in that it barely happens and is based on set dates rather than their rank progress

at least with vanilla balance, if walls were strong enough to be worth taking id always prefer having them on a party member over the protag
the protag is generally going to have the best offensive skills so it's nice to keep support to the party members where possible
