I just got P5R on steam and want to play it with mods. I was able to play it with a mod list earlier today but as the day went on I found more and more problems. I eventually gave up on the mods and just wanted to play vanilla on Steam. At that point I had just unlocked the freeness and wanted to go straight into the palace, but any load screens would go into infinity. I chalked it up to a corrupt save from the mods but all of my saves thus far have that issue. I verified the game files, same issue. I went into my file system and completely deleted all the files for p5r, now I can't get pass the main menu to start a new game. Is there a fix or am I just forsaken??

I also got the bf and bmd emulators replaced as well

i just realized you said in your initial post that you said you "went into [your] file system and completely deleted all the files for p5r" which i assume you mean all mod-related files because uhh the game is obviously not gonna work if you delete half the game

yeah I deleted all of that but I also went into steam and did an uninstall, then browsed local files and deleted all of that while trying to troubleshoot with a friend
then I re-installed the game
I'm not even trying to play with mods right now I just want to get pass the main menu after hitting new game

I also didn't mention this but I did go into my %AppData% folder and also deleted all of my save data as well in case it was a corrupted save causing the issues

wouldnt saves be backed up by steam cloud
wouldnt explain why new game would break though

yeah there is one save file that has persisted. most likely from the cloud
okay now I am able to get pass the new game selection.

but If I did load this with mods it still loads infinitely
