Any1 can help me fix this? Workflow is extract texture as a .TGA from .bin using Amicitia, edited .TGA in gimp, Exported .TGA with gimp, Replaced texture file with edited .TGA and then built mod using mod compendium. Results in this. Game is P5D PS4

did a simple export as bitmap from the original bin for the texture 00 file and then replaced the file without modifications and then rebuilt the bin file and same thing occurs

Only thing that leaves me to believe is the way Amicitia is interacting with the replacement process or some metadata or info is not extracted when you originally extract the texture

this is the weirdest part because I only edited the buttons which shouldnt cause this unless its some engine bs (buttons are in the correct spot and I think the scratch rings as well but everything else isnt. Either small or cropped improperly). Dimensions aren't modified either and its kept the same as original

where did you get the bin file from

if its data cpk you have the wrong file

data cpk contains vita assets

you need to edit the file thats inside ps4 cpk

I get that this was originally a vita game but why are the vita textures still present in the ps4 version 😭

with a lot of old atlus games, data.cpk is identical across all platforms

but to make one you need sdk tools

funny that tga worked though, maybe try using that for the edited texture still

looks like it did import however looks like my edits might have ruined the transparency any advice?

the Y B and A had to import in as a layer cause I custom made them however it prolly has to do something with the way I merged the layers I assume? ( I also added an alpha channel to the main texture to make edits? maybe thats what broke it?)

you can reopen your tga in gimp

make sure to export without rle compression too
