Persona 4 Golden CEP crashes after indeterminate amount of time

Around 72 hours ago I started experiencing numerous crashes while playing P4G with the CEP. It doesn't matter what I'm doing ingame, the screen will just freeze and crash to desktop. Reloaded II doesn't seem to keep a log of the crashes either, and the only line I can manage to read before the crash says: "fatal error while logging another fatal error."

I had been playing the game for quite a while before and had experienced no crashes at all, so this new behavior is rather puzzling. I've followed the installation instructions multiple times and have even reinstalled P4G multiple times to attempt a fresh install and nothing seems to change. Anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

You can read the log file by opening R2 > View Log Files

It might help to upload your latest log here so we can take a look

The most recent log I can find in the folder was when I quit the game manually, which was a while before the last crash. But I'll throw it on here anyway.

Try to find the one with the crash you mentioned

It might be another issue with the new Localization Framework

Unfortunately there aren't any logs that show my crash. It's almost like it doesn't save the log because it automatically closes both the game and Reloaded. My crashdump folder is empty too, if that matters.

You can try emptying your mod cache

Go to P4G-Mods\_Reloaded-II\Mods\p5rpc.modloader\Cache\P4G and delete everything inside

In P4G's install folder there should be a crashdat/bd/reports folder. Hopefully there are some crash dumps in there (.mdmp files). If there are could you send one? Just the latest one

I thought I had solved the issue as I had done a complete reinstall of both the mods and the game itself and had played for hours last night and this morning with no problems, but the game has just crashed again a few moments ago. I checked the reports folder as suggested and it's completely empty. I had changed some of the settings in Reloaded itself hoping that the logs would show fatal errors and below but it looks like no log was created on crash just like before. At this point it's really sapping my desire to finish the game.

My next suggestion would've been to enable crash dumps in windows so I could've actually debugged the problem. It's not going to get fixed now 😔
