I haven't read all the messages since this one, but here's what's happening.
This is an error with Atlus Script Tool. The faulty libraries have broken the flowscript and it creates that kind of bugs. You can bypass it sure, but it's not normal behavior.
I have used PersonaEditor to edit BF files to avoid this. The file in question here is CORP003.BF. Can you share your load so I can look if this is my file or one from another mod that's causing this?

Back to this, I believe that every hair is capable of showing Kasumi and Sumire as someone else entirely, so keeping the same posture, stance and expression feels wrong for some reason

it's hard to explain, but that thought came to me once that short hair kasumi mod was dropped. The tomboy-ish style would really clash with the usually warm, lighthearted expression the original tends to have

if you have a maskless version of the model somewhere, paste it in the same directory and name it
C0001_052_00.GMD
as well as in ths directory: Characters/Joker/1/MODEL/CHARACTER/2111/
and name it C2111_102_00.GMD

for the rapier weapon model, paste it in Characters/Joker/1/MODEL/WEAPON/ nine times
and name them WP0001.GMD, WP0002.GMD, WP0002.GMD, and so on until 9

C0001_113_00 has an additional "mesh" on the mask. It's use for the CBT non-prerendered custscenes, possibly to allow the mask to disappear (like in the Satanel cutscene)
C0001_206_04 is the model in the cutscene where the protag rescues Maruki at the end of the palace. IIRC, it has less bones for the hair to prevent it from going crazy and making Kasumi bald when she grabs his arm

i was thinking this too: if we wanna follow the conventions of persona 5, kasumi's first persona could be Belle, not because of disney but because of the way Peraullt names her in his version: "la Belle au bois dormant" or "the Beauty sleeping int he woods". She doesn't have a direct name in that version, but it's the most commonly told one and the one Disney's sleeping beauty was based on. It's much more tame than the Grimm brothers' version. the variation used for briar rose was "little briar rose" retold by the grimm brothers. the grimm brothers tried to write down folktales as they were said by the locals, so it can be seen briar rose is sleeping beauty's truest form

At long last I can unveil it! Behold, my own take on an AU where Kasumi survives the accident! The above sprites are the twins at the beginning while the bottom two are them post game! More info under the cut!

Ok so it's basically this: Kasumi survives being hit by a car saving Sumire... But she gets physically injured, namely her legs like with Ryuji. As a result, she ends up being unable to compete anymore. If not forever, their dream gets dashed regardless. Now she can still walk a bit, especially after doing physical therapy, but performing causes her so much physical pain that she ends up stopping. She still supports Sumire on the sidelines though. Now Sumire... Oh god Sumire...

This WORSENS her mental state and self-loathing, and Kasumi is none the wiser like in canon. Though she does start to notice within the main story but due to the poor communication, she doesn't know or understand why. She ends up coming to the wrong conclusions and doubles down on helping Sumire with every...

Honestly not to go 100% to bat for Disney here but the fact Anastasia was a nobody that was looked into and became a heroine is why I like Anastasie being the first stage

Besides the connection to Cendrillon, if you look at P5R original "Kasumi" was just a background character because of her death

Re-examined under a different lens, a character people might not have looked twice at (and had a bad reputation) was able to carve her own path and become a heroine in her own right, and I just kinda like that

I wasn't going to replace Arsène/Raoul at first. The idea to replace Arsène with one of Cinderella's sisters was suggested to me, but there's indeed nothing about them in the fairy tale.
I went with Anastasie from Disney so I could at least have something to grab on.

Briar for Raoul is more of a rule of cool. She looked more aggressive in black than regular Vanadis, so figured I could twist Briar Rose story a bit. It also works well with Raoul signature that puts shadows to sleep.
Briar is basically Sleeping Beauty, but no Prince comes to her rescue. She eventually wakes up, but everything and everyone she knows is long gone.
You can compare it to one of Maruki's ending where he puts the protag the sleep. You can also say it's another side of Kasumi in general : the arrest feels like a nightmare, no Prince comes to her rescue and she wakes up in a world where's treated like a criminal/fraud, and she can't recognize anyone (Sumire). Briar and Kasumi accept that curse as a part of them and move on with them, but is it for the better?

Or maybe I'm making that stuff on the spot when I should get ready to go to work.
