#A second support channel for quick questions

So we have support channels (for mod makers) here to help others out. Although lately something has been bothering me: there are many users who need questions answered but these questions are ones that could be answered in one or two replies.

In my opinion I feel it would be easier if, instead of clogging the modding chat with quick questions and unintentionally getting a warning, that there be a channel for said quick questions. And if it seems like a question needs further discussion that it be put in a forum post for any further talk.

However, this is just my personal suggestion. I understand that it's another channel to watch, but I think instead of clogging the forum with questions that need maybe just one or two replies that we have some place we can ask just a quick question and get an answer.

If your question can be satisfied with a single word (yes/no, etc.) then you can ask it in a #pX-modding-chat. That's always been fine.

The problem is that people tend to ask fake yes/no questions to try and get around the rule lol. For example:

Person 1:

Can textures be replaced in P5R?

Person 2:

Yes

Person 1:

How?

Then before you know it, the whole channel has become their support thread. That's not cool.

So as a general rule, we want support questions in the help forums. This has been explained plenty of times before, but the short version is this:

"... Besides preventing the interruptions, the help channels serve as a centralised, easily searchable, organised place for people to find answers to modding-related questions that have been asked before thanks to the forum format and handy features like the tags. When you ask a question there, you're not just helping yourself, but also contributing to a big knowledgebase that will help other people in the future."

Uh... maybe I read your response to my old question wrong somehow, but isn't it basically "not for any questions"?

With the main justifications being interruptions. Which makes sense as, even if it's a small question, you can still have people get into ongoing conversation with a completely unrelated question
