ive been trying to make a intro swap mod for hours, converting the video to usm and later encoding it. After opening the game the video plays normally but with no sound, is there anything i havent done? I used the P4G 64bit tutorial for the creation of the USM file and then one tutorial from the nintendo p5r gamebanana page that someone said that it works for pc too. Is there anything i have to do? (sorry if im late to respond)

Hello anyone?
I don't believe many folks around here work with videos very often, but you may have more luck if you link the tutorials you followed and describe in more detail what exact steps you took for handling the audio.
i converted it to wav
and in scaleform i choose track 1 and put the wav in there
with no original audio
Hopefully angelicshadowdemon from the general modding channel will be able to help you, but I suspect the issue is related to encryption or trying to use HCA instead of ADX audio (since the Steam version of P5R generally uses the latter).
Have you looked into the Amicitia page on this (which is linked in the P4G tutorial)? It has relevant P5R-specific info: https://amicitia.miraheze.org/wiki/USM
Amicitia Wiki
USM is a video format commonly used by the PS3 and some other consoles. In Persona 5, USM files contain 2D anime cutscenes, pre-rendered 3D cutscenes, and various videos displayed on in-game objects like TV screens, list here: Movie (P5).
I'm not sure the tools exist for that, to be honest. Everything that mentions ADX seems to include only extracting+decrypting, i.e., converting a USM into another format, rather than making a USM. You can see what crid_mod.exe (linked on the above Amicitia page) has available, but other tools like WannaCRI also don't seem to have ADX support -- only HCA. There's an open issue related to it (https://github.com/donmai-me/WannaCRI/issues/5), so it seems like something the dev is aware of but hasn't implemented.
Maybe someone else knows a different tool that can either encode as or use existing ADX audio when creating USMs, but 🤷 I might try to take a look at the format to see how difficult it would be to extend an existing tool, but for the time being, this might just be an unsolved issue.
thank you
Sorry that there's not an obvious solution, but, well, you probably did follow the tutorial just fine. It's just a lack of P5R-specific support for this specific thing 😔
OK I DID IT
IT WORKED
i turned the wav to adx and then wav again
and then untick the HCA encoding in scale form
plus
unlike p4g tutorial
i put the new wav in track 0 instead to 1
NAH FUCK
