sustainable at the very least
You do very good damage
and crit heavy
Your perfect punch one shotted in demo very easily
also you're learned through a hot dog girl, so like, automatically peak
No bias in sight
what does that even mean lol
perfect punch is a skill
hp cost
damage scales with remaining hp
kinda like beatdown in smtv
oh no I was asking about the hot dog girl part
archetypes are associated to a particular link
brawler comes from catherina
who is in fact a hot dog girl
Do you like dog girls Meovv
metaphor doesnt have catgirls so it's the next best thing
But yeah you learn Brawler from starting the SL with a Paripus girl (Paripus are basically dog people)
๐
theres only 9 tribes
If you metaphor hard enough you find the secret cat girl tribe
also 9 tribes and 7 party members (8 counting grius)
if paripus legit is the only missing tribe from the party im gonna leave bad review
They are the second most prejudiced tribe so that'd be a funny party member idea to leave out
Ok so American then Bitch
What
Lmaooooooooooo
Actually
What race is the prince?
clemar
they're not visible
read the encyclopedia in the menu
royal family is all clemars
Protag's race is american
o
Man all this talk reminding me i can't pay for Metaphor ๐
release performance is better tbh
Sweet
tbh I just wasn't really interested in playing at launch, I'll probably pick it up on sale later
seems like the game is good at least!
Apparently we have a fucking sega/atlus fes happening on december
I wonder, tf they gonna do there
Nyx?
Lmao
Issue of skill
I mean, I beat it up with the really hard theurgia charge rate nerfs "low level"
And the main problem going for that is anticipating certain phases that hits really hard compared to before
Dude probably never got to at least Emperor
That's the more significant changes started to show iirc
I think the boss in question is the Reaper
Wot
That's even more stupid
Lmaooo
He's arguably easier to deal with by a casual setting
how do you mean
You can actually freeze the guy
The normal stuff works just as well with that in essence
You just can't get ailments and expect it to be a "good" thing
Plus the damage buff made Divine Intervention actually good
That's actually a good skill now
it always was
It wasn't worth shit if the enemies can't even hit hard
It would be funny as fuck against Jonkler if it wasn't banned
i mean it made you invincible in base game
lets you low level the reaper really easy
but its def better when enemies are stronger i agree
nah in a low level setting you die near instantly
ig tarukunda and rakukaja are pretty cracked though
Oh and ailment nulls
ailment nulls are silly
Yeah but it's a good idea normally
You can go super LL with repel phys mutations but y'know
That needs ailments
MQ fixed that bullshit, I don't think being rewarded for being a dumbass is a good idea
@iron pilot @dreamy orchid he's whining about jin
we were both wrong!
Lol
i remember pre-patch when jin was a sponge because of the poison change
that was funny
I was doing it with just two dudes so that makes sense
doors' video where he fought him took ages i remember
yea
i remember that fight being changed quite heavily though from vanilla was it not
this guy skill issues all over the game doing shit like tarukaja on healers
legit refuses to do anything unless the entire party has all 3 buffs and enemy all 3 debuffs
its crazy
heat riser on yukari
dude cant pick a story either
has been daily hating for 5 months and isn't even in this thread anymore so it's just for the love of the game
it's either "MQ makes the game a slog" or "MQ changes nothing so it's still a slog"
That's generally a good idea but actually needs to buff stack to not be slow as shit
mf legit can't pick one
his shit's been nothing short of disrespect and it's one of the major factors i sorta quit the project
i'm worn down lmao
claims to have feedback but withholds it in place of 5 months of daily bickering and little negative jabs here and there
your shit has like 3 views mate you're not making content out of this
if it was actually worth a damn i'd listen but this dude genuinely, no irony, fucking sucks at the game and can't even realise it, it's insane lol
outright lying about jin having no changes was the last drop for me
i blocked
I wanted to beat the mod but I got to strength/fortune before episode aigis dropped so I had to play that then other stuff then metaphor came out
Overall I dont recall having much issues with it. The hardest part for me was probably adjusting to priestess, but I ended up making a multi ailment unicorn for that, so really it was just the grinding ti get to that point
Which im sure if I thiught harder I could make a better thing to get around anyway
The only thing ive really disagreed with is someone saying aoa's were basically useless, which I mean theyd been working pretty decently up until I stopped
If I got to about that point in the game with ai teammates as I was (and i recall reading people having done it solo?) I dont think it can be that badly balanced as the guy is saying
Ill probably return to it after 2.0 or at some point after metaphor, looking forward to seeing the new moves and changes
"I'll give the feedback after the final battle"
"hmm actually I'll try to squeeze out one more video"
shameful behavior lol
y'know, I get splitting your feedback into sections, but using it to make videos is pretty funny
he isn't even in this thread anymore because i pushed back
it's legit just an attempt at content
I'd rather he didn't at all since his videos are full of bickering and misinformation
who even is this
jet
So I kinda stopped playing P3R with MQ basically right before the 1/31 so I didn't check out the final fights, but it's been months now and I'm probably not finishing that playthrough but I thought I'll dump my feedback anyway. Maybe it will be of use.
Overall it's fine, and actually makes combat challenging, though it mostly falls off later in the game, except for some major bosses.
Akihiko is kinda OP. He was already pretty strong, what with his characteristic giving him 30% more damage and extra defences and speed, god's hand dealing big damage (you can have strike boost/amp via items after all). Adding single-target boost makes his damage stand out even more, and eventually debilitate just seals the deal as the best party member. And he's pretty okay at magic too. At the end he only deals 10% less magic damage than Mitsuru (ignoring slightly different magic stat admittedly), and his theurgy actually deals like 57% more total damage, so there's that.
Ken's the second best after his persona evolution. Imo at this point his kit is irrelevant, the theurgy is just that good. Though the kit actually being pretty good helps too.
Fuuka's upgraded theurgy is kinda op if you happen to roll charge/concentrate to all.
Poison is just completely worthless for the player. For enemies it at least indefinitely blocks shifts and theurgies, but for player it's just a complete waste of time to try and inflict it, and would be even if the chance was 100%.
Heaven's Blade is kinda too good. Having double the base crit compared to brave blade for a bit higher cost is just too good imo.
Healing cost is perhaps a bit too high? 75 SP for Mediarahan is insane, even in endgame. Ken can do like 4 casts, 5 with trait (maybe..). If you want to actually heal stuff, you kinda have to use MC (with either spell master or mediarama + divine grace, or both), or Yukari.
Lower exp from enemies that are lower level, and no exp from enemies that are at least 4 levels below quickly become a bit of an issue as regular fights just do not give exp anymore, with all enemies being at least 4 levels below your party.
I think AOAs should be buffed, at later levels they're almost always worth less than just using a skill, especially several with damage bonus on downed (and perhaps shift boost/amp as well).
Difficulty noticeably falls of in the end game. Major bosses still poss challenge, but tartarus enemies and guardians are just harmless.
I've been rebalancing theurgy charge myself and I just want to say I've landed on a similar change log. E.g., Remove passive charging (except Ken and Shinji's), make shifting the MC's trait, and make casting buffs/debuffs Akihiko's trait.
I remember you removed passive charging which I liked, but I didn't remember the rest. Funny to me that we arrived at similar solutions.
Probably an obvious question but fuck I'll ask anyway, any ideas on what to do about the Jonkle in The Answer?
Jonkler
Ok then
do theurgy conditions change after getting traits or something? i remember reading something about akihiko's fist crits giving him theurgy but the description doesnt say anything and it barely went up after getting one
augh shit
is it unsafe to swap versions in the midst of a run? the game keeps crashing after mits uses mabufu but the release build seemed to work fine. not sure really what goes into persona modding so bear with me here
ive got it on the lowest part of the list (thats highest priority, right?) so i know its loading last, im not running any other gameplay mods but ive got an opening mod and some social sim stuff. i dont think it should be affecting it but i cant check it
im pretty sure release is the safest and the in-development versions would have some issues because they edit things that the DLC changed
ahhh, fuck, totally forgot about that. ty
is there a skill table of the most recent stable version? i found mq2skill but it appears to be of the next version since arrow rain is still 1-4 hits instead of a flat 2
it should also be in the pins but it might not be 100% accurate
Hello. Been a long time follower of the mod. I wanted to share with you my modding experience balancing P3R, which I recorded here as a big essay:
I'm not trying to recommend certain changes or anything, I just thought you might find one or two things interesting. Master Quest brought me to the modding scene and because of it, I learned a bunch of new things like how Unreal functions and how to hex edit, so thanks for that. Cheers!
