I was Playing some P3P and in Reloaded I saw that the bgme framework was enabled, but when I went to disable it it wouldn't disable when I clicked on the box to disable it, any help

Send screenshot

#

It sounds like its been configured as a dependency

#

Meaning that it can't be enabled/disabled. It's managed by r2

hollup

ionic osprey
#

Yeah that's a dependency

#

That's what the square thing means

keen pier
#

it said to update it when I launched R2 earlier

ionic osprey
#

Is it causing problems?

#

If it's not, I'd just ignore ir

#

*it

keen pier
#

battle music won't play

#

it's just play the tartarus exploration music

ionic osprey
#

And if you uninstall BGME framework, it does?

keen pier
#

I haven't checked

ionic osprey
#

Check that to confirm it's actually the problem and not a red herring

keen pier
#

nope, still doesn't play the battle music

#

and when I uninstalled bgme framework and tried to launch the game R2 just force reinstalls the framework

#

before launching the game

ionic osprey
#

Oh yeah sorry I should have mentioned that - if another mod has it set as a dependency it'll fetch it automatically when reloaded launches

#

So the actual issue ultimately here anyway is "battle music won't play"

#

Do you mean it's silent? What does that actually mean?

keen pier
#

I have the battle music pack mod which requires it, but when I tried it out a while back I didn't have any issues whatsoever

#

My guess is that one or more of your music mods conflict

#

I'd test disabling them one by one, testing as you go to try and narrow down the cause

#

Also check the description of each mods GameBanana page to see if they list any explicit incompatibilities you hadn't considered

keen pier
#

the only other one I have is HQ music pack PC edition

ionic osprey
#

naotoshrug still worth testing. They're my suggestions, if that doesn't work maybe someone else can help

keen pier
#

still doesn't work

ionic osprey
#

What's changed between when the mod worked and now? Have you installed any new mods or updates?

keen pier
#

only the new version of bgme framework

ionic osprey
#

Probably a bug with that new version then

#

I'd reach out to the author

#

To troubleshoot further and see if its a known issue

This seems to be an issue with the newest BGME update. It also affects P4G haha

Alright, I'm bout to go to bed so I'll do that in the morning when I get up

keen pier
#

ok got up earlier, just got on my laptop and this is the first thing I did, nothing works still plus on the screen that displays when R2 is loading the game with ur selected mods is says something along the lines of negative bgm value

keen pier
#

alright the I updated the framework and it play battle music now but now it plays some random ass music holdup I'll get a vid

#

oh wait nvm when I went into a battle to get a vid to help explain the issue it just played light the fire up in the night kagejikan

#

instead of the random battle track I didn't know

#

anyway the issue has been sorted, for now at least

keen pier
#

ok found out that the bgm I was unfamilliar with was mass destruction (burn my dread reincarnation) it sounds bad so I'm probably gonna replace it

stable gyro
#

that is an actual issue that some people seem to get though im not sure why

#

oh, maybe found the cause

I'm planning to either update that pack to give people more control over their song choices, or deprecate it in favor of a new pack, so hopefully that should help lol

keen pier
#

well I did put up a request for a mod that replaces the battle themes with break out of atlus kitajou remix from the dancing game, so a dancing bgm pack would be cool, but that's up to you
