During the All-out attack, when the finishing move animation switches to Futaba, Even in the Japanese version, English voice plays. Is this due to the Kasumi over Joker voice patch?
Or is it because something is set for Kasumi as the protagonist?

Is it just me, or does the grappling hook work really well in the tower in Kamoshida's palace? When this mod was still in beta, the grappling hook was wonky in the intro casino scene. But playing through the first palace now, the grappling hook in the tutorial was just a little bit away from Kasumi's wrist (expected), but actually connected to the right spot (unexpected & awesome)
most of the grapple spots look normal enough with some exceptions where it looks good

You can probably reuse some of the head/eye movements when making those bustups, so you can optimize the process of making them a bit

You may be able to adjust how many vists you have made to the temple via cheat engine if I recall the table I have has the option
that should let you reach enlightment if you need to test it

.h files can be deleted, they don't contain useful data
I think so, although I would recommend just translating the msgs I sent since I can't really do extensive testing of this event

Apparently I configured the CBT adx replacement music wrong, I'm going to reupload addons mod but not increment the version number so (hopefully) people won't be bugged by another update notification. If you want the game to use high quality versions of Master of Shadow and Unavoidable Battle overwrite the yamls in p5rpc.kasumiasprotag.addonsmod\Ryo\P5R\Kotone\CBT-HD with these ones attached

i don't use l7m3's bustups because i thought they looked a little too different from p5's style but this is a lot closer!
I'm gonna assume the OG concept art was the reference for this? The head tilt and face remind me heavily of it.
It looks elegant and conveys that she is thinking while still having an intensity to it. It may not be finalised yet, but it has more personality than Joker's thief bustup.
Only thing I noticed that was off is that her black collar is missing.

taking a look at what appears in the cutin while in-game made me feel like the tilt and angle just worked
without having that much simply not appear bc of some over the top nonsense I'd usually end up doing to try and make it "unique"
are you planning to add a strong light on the left side? To me, that's pretty much the only thing missing. The rest looks really well done! The pose and the look bring out a new side of Kasumi that fits perfectly

I've been working on the portrait again, and I stopped to think for a moment about how I'd go about doing the rim lighting
in the previous pieces I made, the rim lighting would sort of match the ambience it was put on, so the overworld would be a warmer golden hue, and in the interrogation it would be a colder blue
was thinking about putting this one with a red tint to match mementos, but at the same time, it would end up conflicting with her already red hair, so I'm kinda in a loss

now that im taking another look at it, i just noticed that maybe line thickness on her chin and hands could be a bit bolder

if it's not untoward, the thing that jumps to me first is that the scalp specular kinda flattens the shape, they should kinda warp inwards as they go back into the pony

you shouldnt stick to concept art so much. its just concept art. proportions will be all wrong, it will chew on rules that were set later for the character

i did some redraws and split it into two so its a lot more readable. from here on out i will be describing what they are

bangs: they completely defy sumire’s shape of bangs, and are shaded completely differently when theres already tons of reference on how to shade the hair in style in game. you shouldnt ignore the rules set across the sprites unless youre making an educated guess, if you want to copy the artstyle.
chin: face shape is completely different, once again theres a similar pose of her in game you can reference, and many other official art that i didnt include here. key is always to cross reference over and over and over again
hands: joker has a different pose where he has his hand, i dont understand the intention of her hand being visible in her “base” sprite
bow and pony: they are creating a tangent which makes it hard to read what going on in the back of her head. additionally, the top of sumire’s pony is rarely visible so account that and look at when it Is visible across official arts. i wouldve drawn the pony in a different direction because once again, there needs to be purpose behind things youre drawing and adding.
mask: you should just get the 3d model, and angle it the same way to see how the ends of the mask would look. i dont know how accurate models are to art in p5, so keep that in mind.
eyes: the eye shape is completely different to other sumire arts, study the shape and then apply it to the perspective. the tearduct is usually visible to some extent, so she looks a bit awkward without it
body: you already mentioned choker, so im leaving it out. i think you should add small highlights to the gold bits, since they would catch the rimlight. Double check how her body suit works via other full body art, that is your homework on cross referencing
basically, be intentional with how you do everything. if youre shading the insides of the mask, make sure thats done that way in other artworks. if youre adding or changing the flow of the hair, study how that is done in the other artworks. and concept art is, just concept art. sticking to it religiously will look odd in the end. and as i already mentioned, this isnt me telling you to redraw the entire thing, its me nitpicking at everything like i said i would 
to point out some places where its clear you went off of memory and didnt really reference as much as you should: hairline, ear, ends of mask, fingertips/fingers in general
it is OK to reference concept art. its the best option for poses, because it lets you use poses you know the creators of the character thought for them. but on a technical level, they are drawn sloppily so you shouldnt copy art style things from there

I checked the seiza pose in the update. The current posture for the full lotus position is a bit wrong, so should I make a pose?
However, if I make it into a proper pose, the bones may interfere with each other. I won't know until I make it.
it was one of the things I've been doing with my artwork in general. I tended to go off the way it usually looks by giving it my own flair, notice it's not how "it should be" and then redo it.
might be an issue with my own confidence, but ty for pointing it out either way and actually say that this is indeed something i should improve
and yeah, i focused way too much on getting the ferling of her concept art, even when I felt it was off
the idea of using a 3d model ks actually really good
I'd either just go with the reference or take a png of jt somewhere and try to adjust it, though it never really looked good

Quick update on what I've been up to. Added the choker, added some black shading to her collar and neck area, put some soft rim lighting on the golden button, adjusted the mask position to be more tri-dimensional, while also adding some layering to it's edge to give a sense of depth, adjusted the ribbon's size and position, and made her ponytail a bit more grounded to her to not be too extravagant as it was before
i'll probably do some work on her bangs, then move on to make her hair warp towards her ponytail, which totally slipped my mind while doing it (thanks to CatBoy for pointing it out, btw)

They just seem to be really buggy

in regards to this, I'll probably keep the bangs shape language near the tips to be somewhat the same, just so I can feel like it's not really copied from the other reference photos I was using (also bc I really enjoy the looks it has when it's not too straight)
but I'll try to follow the way they look from the middle part to where they start on top
in latest they seem to work but will stop working if you go somewhere that puts your umbrella away and then go back out into the rain
might be a conflict with the regular gap but i have no idea why that would be happening
regular walk/run footsteps always work fine though

Well the method for installing reloaded on the steamdeck is kind of annoying
it's not that hard. you just install it in the dedicated proton prefix
for some reason they made it more complicated than just a regular linux install
that doesnt look like a valid model id...

i used nobara for a bit and just switched to base fedora kde
sure you have to configure fedora a bit but i didn't like the way nobara's kde looked lol
ive mostly been eyeing nobara since it has a bunch of gaming shit out of the box
but fedora-based distros for the win ✊
bazzite's a good fedora-based gaming distro too
all it's got is protontricks, wine, lutris, and steam pre-installed lol
if you have nvidia you can pre install the drivers too but it's as simple as sudo dnf install akmod-nvidia
and wine isn't even pre-configured

One last update on how it looks now. Fixed a bit of her chin and jaw, got her hair to properly move towards the ponytail, fixed her bangs, a few shading things here and there, and overall i think this should be the final version

In Japan, the half lotus position is generally thought of as being for people with stiff bodies, so I thought it might not be suitable for a rhythmic gymnast like Kasumi.

a portrait pack I've been doing that just adds my hand-drawn animated versions to the game
I'd love to, but I don't even know where to begin with those. Sumire and everyone else has like 100 more tychoon lines than Joker and the Cue IDs don't give any indication of how they match up. Not to mention all the unused lines as well as the fact that I barely even know how tycoon works to begin with.

@zealous fjord is there any particular reason why the evt files in your mod are in the character folder?
luckily i think the only evt conflict i have between shut up sae and r&v is the sumire rank 1 evt
but it does mean i cant overwrite your files without creating a bind
which i can do for r&v compat but if you ever make changes to the rank 1 events theres not much i can do, i dont really want to do everything through crifs binds
a lot of these dont even seem to include the ecs
which i did notice when i was playing, i play with shut up sae so the audio commands got desynced due to r&v not including an ecs (and instead the one from shut up sae being used)
no matter what i do, i can't seem to get the kasumi over joker voice patch to work, i believe i have everything up to date and i do not think it it is clashing with any other mods because i've tried it with everything off except the dependencies and it still did not work, is there anything i could do about it?

In the process, some of the voiceline were also adjusted.
@open gull The ShowTime voice was previously submited, so this is the remaining portion.
Also, the voice for Futaba's finish in the All-Out Attack was in English, so the Japanese voice is packed as well (BP01\4102.cue)

The BetaFeMC project technically started out as the same thing the P3 FeMC mod did. As a cut content restoration mod. Both aim to “restore” the cut FeMC and associated content to their respective games. Just P3 has more publically known content to restore whereas P5 they are working on tween Nanako, expanding a new area for both exploration and hideout and more. A) Non-summer: Mugwort is rendered as yuzu
B) Summer: Peppermint is rendered as mugwort
C) Winter Solstice: Yuzu is rendered as peppermint
I'll investigate the call flags a bit further.

It contained 6,419 files and 214 folders lol.
The protagonist is fundamentally a different person from Kasumi Yoshizawa or Sumire.
However, various NPCs will point out that she looks similar.

To resolve this contradiction, I drew inspiration from Japan's subculture secret weapon: “Narou-esque settings.”

It's all relative to what story/overhaul you want to make. Event editing is difficult and tedious, so it's better to work with the base game and try to change the story around that. Thinking outside the box will help, but some contradictions can't be avoided (same in Rose & Violet).
Also, you did edit somes lines I didn't, like the small dialogues in menus ("What item should I use...?" or stuff like that). I didn't feel like I needed to edit those in english, so in that way, your mod is more polished than mine! 😉

the first 2 being her own from p5x, the following 4 being from luce (might be too broad) and the final 4 being from cherish
i'd need to trim 2 but they could maybe be an additional option for the weapon model optional

I can, but in this case, wouldn't it be better to make it a toggle instead? (I haven't had any issues with the gun sfx, and people will notice if it gets removed.) On a related note, what's the issue? I looked at the video and I didn't see it.

the bed thing only happens because there's a billion dupe animations
realistically all you would need to do is find those dupe gaps and replace them with the anims i already did for the bed
