I think the mod is maybe 1 or 2 gigs
and there's... a lot of animations
probably totaling over to 500mb

it varies, it could be a couple kilobytes or a few megabytes depending on how many animations are contained within a gap and how many keyframes there are

mainly battle and field anims which crashed the switch version on startup in my experience
battle one loaded fine, the field ones kept crashing it

As far as I know you get polish either by languages on steam or your console being in polish.

yeah I checked and didn't see it, unfortunately if that's the case I won't be accepting any translations for languages p5r doesn't natively support, but you are free to make your own localization addon mod if you want

not to mention, even if we were discussing him, if you seriously have a problem with him you're the one that has to step away from a conversation like that which may trigger you. this is a public space and it is more than reasonable to discuss maruki as a character
it comes off as incredibly arrogant to say that when maruki is a p5 antagonist and one that invites discussion to begin with

Hey wisteria it’s going to be longer for me to find out the location for the animations cause it doesn’t seem the animation files for the pc version of p5r doesn’t match the switch version I think they where compressed to work on the switch version of the files once the project is published though I should be able to look through each file to find the animations your using for the mod.

This seems uncalled for. I'm no psychologist but I know from experience that PTSD/wounds of the heart can come up in unrelated and even trivial matters at times. It may not always be logical, but those feelings are real nonetheless and from my experience, they can come up in unexpected places even when it doesn't make sense. I fixed some weird stuff happening with the restrooms in Shujin, especially around the first. I've tested the fix and it worked fine for me. I don't know if Wisteria has added them in the latest build

alright the reason why I asked was to see if you wanted any custom models for those in case you didn’t have any I didn’t think that kasumi had costumes in a dlc pack looks like I didn’t purchase a costume pack for it I just thought she didn’t have costumes.

An easy fix would be to edit the BMD file for this event so it uses the base portrait here. No need to edit the portrait itself

@manic cedar could you send over the portrait with the eyes already in the right position? it won't blink but since it happens for a single dialogue choice it should be fine
also this isn't a good solution since it'll nuke the portrait in sumire overhaul
I meant editing the dialogue. Instead of using the portrait with foggy glasses (n°5), use the the regular portrait (n°0). For the Sumire version of mod, portrait n°0 should have the long hair anyway
But If you don't want to edit the BMD, editing the portrait with the eyes should work just as well
Well that's the issue
Sumire overhaul is an option in the addon mod
Not a fully separate mod, nuking the portrait would make it so the foggy glasses portrait that sumire overhaul has never shows up (and any additional addon mod that edits bustups for sumire or adds say a glasses version wouldnt have the foggy portrait for that event)
Besides that's a bit much considering that's another thing I'd need localized (granted I could just copy the text from every official localization, but that would be kind of a pain)
Realistically there's no reason not to just edit the portrait instead since it's only used for this event anyway

Anyways I'd like to mention, my efforts will be focused on adding localizations. I now consider almost everything to be finalized (will still address animation bugs) and would like to release the mod sometime next month. I will still be accepting costumes, bustups, thieves den art, and any other smaller contributions. Full release & trailer will be soon!
Oh yeah, I might've mentioned that I did an edit to fix some very minor discolouring on the transformation model which is lot of custom models use as a base. (Left is the discoloured hand, right is the arm texture from her other models. This edit fixes the hand) Do what you will with it.
Also edited the Sophia costume to use the more vibrant hair texture from Violet's Phantom Thief outfit (which I personally feel is closer to Sophia's own hair colour)
(Did something similar with the Yunaka costume too a while back.)

Yea. The rest of the cast has their outfits from that game ported over as CBT costumes. Since Violet doesn't appear in Strikers (that game was being developed at the same time as Royal), she has a costume based on that game's newcomer Sophia instead.

I forgot but usually BC7 at various resolutions depending on how much the texture is used

Heyyy I don't know if I did model swap or something or if it's this mod or another but in the interigation room scenes when you get a new social link before Kasumi didn't have a ribbon but since I downloaded the new Rose and Violrt mod along with all the stuff it needed now Kasumi has her ribbon. Anyway to change it back to no ribbon? Feel like more fitting

Just started using the Kasumi mod and it's great; however, the only outfit I have is "UNUSED". Is this normal? I installed the Add-on mod as well that says it adds some outfits but I don't have any other outfits. I'm on 4/12 and got the outfits from the box already.
I also switch it to Default Cendrillion but still ended up with Arsene
I believe you have to set Joker to slot 1 in costume framework
Yeah it's already slot 1. I looked into the projects and found Rose & Violet Story mods and followed the instructions to get them working with this mod and everything seems to work. Strange that I can't get this one to work without the other.
Well rather, I think it just wasn't working with Costume Framework.

@kindred comet There's an issue with the "music.pme" in the Gekkoukan High costume folder (OptionalModFiles in the main mod). The game can't find the battle music (victory music works fine though)
I don't know if it's really needed. Removing the file makes the two musics work correctly. Did you want to replace one of them?

I think the person that made those originally forgot to edit the "men" dialogues (used for the ladies' bathrooms). The boys' bathrooms dialogues were correctly edited.
They go in OptionalModFiles\Flowscript\Restroom\BF\FIELD\HIT
I've tested it on 06/15. Works for all bathrooms on both buildings. The issue was mostly for the practice building

I'm not really familiar with P5R switch modding though, like I said I kinda just chucked the files onto my sd card and tried booting it on my switch
that's why it didn't work your supposed to convert models to be able to play them on switch that's what i know about mods on the switch though besides a few bits of knowledge here and there so I'm not really an expert about modding this game such as the information i gave you about animation files.

I noticed using this bustups option in the kasumi as protag mod that her mole is missing is almost all of them I only noticed it in one of them. Did I miss something?

default bustups mean default Sumire (ponytail) bustups
if the default option is showing as R&V Kasumi then R&V is overwriting them
(which is what should be happening)
to reiterate - my mod is not related to rose and violet
rose and violet simply depends on my mod. our mods are both standalone
if you change options in the config for my mod, it follows that it'll reflect options from my mod and not r&v

@kindred comet I had an idea to see if we can fix the issue with the games data limit being hit for the switch version but I’m going to need to know if it’s actually a memory limit issue so where going to need to test it.

Rose & Violet is currently in beta and fully playable. I'd say the only thing missing is new romances, but I'll look into later. Both my mod and Wisteria's are currently in testing, but release on Gamebanana shouldn't be too far off now

you dont need a cpk
its a loose file loader
put the contents in sd:/p5r/ and it should work
i would check how i did it but my sd card got wiped 
if you're on an emulator it should work the same way
just substitute sd with the emulator's sdcard path

i cant attest to switch emulation but im p sure emulators generally have the same memory pool as their counterparts
some have options to expand their memory pool at the cost of stability, and options like this are usually experimental
you're emulating a console, not running the game natively
switch has 4 gbs of ram even lower end pcs tend to have at least 8 and emulators can run games off of more ram im running games from at least 8 ram but it can go up to 64 but every other ram thats above 8 says unsafe on the emulator im using
so i can test the memory limit with this

yes, but you're not running the game natively - where it would have far more access to your system resources
emulators emulate the console on a software level
even with the switch specs being pretty low you would generally need a pc more powerful than a switch to emulate it at full speed
the point im making here is just because you have more memory that doesnt translate to bypassing memory limitations in an emulator unless it explicitly lets you expand its memory pool
im pretty sure emulators have the same memory pool as the consoles they're emulating as to not break things

alright i reldownloaded the mod you sent it seems that redownloading the mod and placing it over the first fixed the problem and now its crashing

From what I’ve seen on the internet the version where using had a memory leak issue so that’s a path to see if we can get it to work
The guy I’m working with is asking if you know what animation in particular is causing the crash?
Well I’ll take out the large gap files and try to run it if that works let’s see if we can shrink the size of them
He says maybe remove a few frames of animation of the end of the animation file or there’s a missing animation frame in it

I left most of the animations in the folders but just a few of them caused the game to crash those are in the file I sent.

turned just the p5r file into a patch file heres the results
all the data that was in the p5r file was in there including the animations so
currently compressing both the portible file and the p5r file you sent earlier with my previous work
i got the mod loaded up by turning everything into a cpk file to load but theres still a problem with the skeleton any ideas

Oh and @paper gazelle the guy I was working with shortened a few animations took out some key frames so it should work better

I managed to remove half of the key frames from a good portion of the animations for BF0001_051 animation file, and i shorted some long animations
I cant say for certain that editing the animations like i did will really help
So any chance for an option sometime to make our player Kasumi taller like Joker so she fits better and maybe a hair color option so she's not an exact copy of the other Kasumi?
The taller thing would need all the animations to be redone to fit the taller skeleton or else Stretchsumi happens
Otherwise for different hair colour there's Zylvos' alternate model mod with the brown hair and mole + white leotard
In theory that should work without Rose and Violet if you just want vanilla stuff
well when you see how tall joker is its kinda scary

@tired shale i was running into some crashes with thieves den enhanced with my mod, i moved the spd sound stuff to spd emulator and it works now. here's the femulator folder if you want to push out a quick hotfix or anything (granted i dont even think the mod even works with the latest version of cbt but alas)

Simplified Chinese support has been implemented! Currently the game will still crash if flowscript and thieves den config options are toggled on. I can't really do anything about this until AST fixes their charset
If AST fixes it and the changes are pushed to file emulation framework then it should work without me having to do anything additional
Also I think Traditional Chinese is kinda broken too, it throws compiler errors if there's like a single english character anywhere
Hopefully this is something that gets looked into

I tested the bathhosue/bathroom since it seems like the files were moved in another directory. Works perfectly.
Tested a bit of roaming around, a few events, nothing out of the ordinary. I just noticed that the idle animation in the safe room has changed.

Idk if it's just me but it seems doing the big bang challenge the animation of grabbing the burger and eating it is improved.
I think I'm gonna briefly do the intro sequence just for personal curiosity if that's improved or at least smooth as well.

I love these two mods changed the game for me
That mod is already covered by Wisty's mod as a toggle, so you don't necessarily need it. The main difference is that the original mod puts Ella over Raoul (without a Satanael replacement), whereas the toggle in Wisty's mod puts Vanadis over Raoul and Ella over NG+ Satanael. If you prefer having Ella over Raoul, you'll want to disable the main mod's "Violet's Personas" and "Persona Skillsets" toggles and install the original Cendrillon + Ella addon. It's really just a matter of preference.
Found a slight issue, when running during a rainy day, (the normal run, not sprinting) no footstep noises play. It's fine when slowly walking though.

ive disabled almost all my mods and im still getting Joker, the only way i can get sumi is if I enable Sumire in the addons and then she becomes a skinwalker during certain animations😭

Oh speaking of Sojiro as sort of A Kasumi foster dad... Kasumi is a month younger than Futaba. So its pretty natural for him to gravitate to that role for her too! I have a lot of fun with this mod cause it so different from playing as Akage. (Yes. I haven't played as Joker since lfor maybe 2 hours when I bought the game)
In a week I can pull myself out of Metaphor and get back to all the fun changes from the beta!
