yeah it's not to do w the custom anims i ported either, bc i edited the showtime one to reduce the exagerated smirk and even that caused it
and i still haven't managed to get emt anims to export from blender without a comepletly unreleated anim to the ones i change breaking everything
i also did saferoom talking anims but no one wanted to talk to me 😦
requires the newly released custom cursor mod, i tested it and didn't encounter any issues but more ppl able to test it the better

yeah i finally released the first update since release but i don't think i changed anything that could break descriptions

ported over the updated fashion outfit from beta 3 trying a new way to convert the models from an A pose so riggings not done, but i also changed the materials now so it uses a normal map but uhhh the model do be 19,647kb lmao
there's so many different colorways for these outfits it's gonna be tiring converting all the textures lmao

type3 (bone relations) has a field that is just distance between 2 bones, squared
if it's not correct it can either compress or expand the bone chain
i can generate close to correct-ish values in blender
not sure if this is w makoto's or these values but i haven't changed the bone chain settings from the ones generated by your blender script

it loads the actual file from cpk
yes, file viewer shows USRDIR files, but the actual loading is happening from the cpk using the same path
so you need to have a duplicate like this
USRDIR\mod.cpk\model\modelname.gmd
and USRDIR\model\modelname.gmd

Hey mortyyy, wouldn't it be more convenient to release update bedore p5x next beta release ?You will probably get a lot of downloads due to hyped people about the next beta, have a lot of feedbacks and the' prepare next update with content from the 4th beta of p5x.

tbh it's in a state to where i think i could upload it now just need to finish replacing the hair, i'll hold off on anims for abit bc it seems like there's some new ones in the next beta anyways

i just got done replacing the hair meshes to the one w physics on all the models - hair mesh has an issue where the back would clip into the neck - had to rerig the hair and now i have to replace it again

the neck mismatch is probably bc of how i merged the diffuse and pk textures, so i should be able to fix that in an update next week
it looks like it's just flat color in all models with this issue so i'd just use eye dropper and make a 16x16 texture for just neck skin color 💀

you really should not do that, i just did that to check if that was the issue
well my logs seems to indicate some error with one of my mod but even deactivated the crash 1 sec ater the same screen as you showed up keeps happening and I do not have any solutions that comes to my mind that I haven't tried (redownload mods, R2, deactivate mods, etc.)
so the solution you gave is the one thing I still haven't tried. Why should I avoid it tho ?
oh yeah you should probably remove ReceiveShadow flag from the face material
and make sure neck and face have the same type2 attribute values

as the wonder mods finishing up, i’m wondering what characters the other thieves should be obv luffy, closer and soy are set, but im not too sure what position to put wind in, komoto is most likely gonna be haru, so that leaves Makoto, Yusuke, Futaba, Sumire and Aketchi left
im not against the idea of using social replacing social links aswell, i think Kii will probs be over Mishima, and Hifumi could take Winds roll (it would be much less effort rig wise lmao)

there's a material that ignores the Y axis rotation for shading
so the face doesnt get fully shadowed if he looks down

the new one, with an owl mask and a japanese shrine priestress suit, would go great on either haru or yusuke. It depends if you only pla to do phantom thieves or also phantom idols (because do the weapon of riddle, if you do idols, for which you'll never see the light of day again, riddle would go great over haru)

1.5.0 doesn't load wonder for most outfits and seems to make the phantom thief outfits and some other outfitys completely disappeared, I needed to merge 1.3.0 and 1.5.0 to get back wonder on most outfits

i use that when i dont feel like manually setting up sharp edges for good normals

i understand design differences in different games but how can one game have so many
if someone could test anims that'd be v nice, they haven't been synced to the hit fx yet, but im mainly worried about the crit anim being v v wrong ||(the camera has been unedited bc i haven't gotten a crit after like an hour yesterday) || also bustups use old param file from when i seperated this for testing back in cbt2 so they might not line up perfectly w the new ones
oh and Ann anims haven't been retargeted yet (not sure if this is a skill issue or gfd studio issue but they only correctly retarget if i do every anim individually, the mass retarget doesn't work

nah, i did make it symmetrical at one point but the normals still came out kinda crusty so i just used the normal ones, what’d u do to get yours so smooth ?
i manually edited the baked vertex colors after baking
with the smudge tool
the funny triangle is only on one side if you dont make it symmetrical

chin on the bottom should have the same values as the front, not fully black
that makes sense for an sdf texture since it'd make the area always shadowed, but it doesnt work for normals since they're actual directions and are used in more complex calculations
you can see how i made bottom of the chin not fully black here

They p much copy-pasted those sprites with minor edits like the eye shape, face length, the direction they're both facing, and their skin tones

almost every character has their own gradient thingy in the files, you can export it as a json or somin iirc and then make it through that
