Also did you know that there is a method in ibis paint x where you can extract line art from traditional pieces a tad bit easier? I used it to extract the sketch for my Medea drawing

So anyway, when you import your picture of choice I recommend you to open the menu thingamajig and choose "Filter", in the "Adjust Color" section I use the filter called "Hue Saturation Brightness" with this I turn my picture to black and white by dragging the "Saturation" bar thing to -100%, you can also play with the "Brightness" bar to make the background whiter, but you don't have to make it fully white because I recommend you use the "Brightness and Contrast" filter from the same section to make the line art looks darker and more "crisp" dare I say. Now, the coolest thing in ibis paint X, when you click on the "Layer" icon you can see three dots in vertical position, there you click on "Clear white (color)" thing that makes all of the white bits transparent automatically which lets you to draw on the layers below without messing up the line art

What does the vector feature do

From all I know

Vector is a mathematical term to define a direction in space

vector is for logos and stuff, instead of your brushes working by setting values to pixels, they create a function with your art that can scale infinitely regardless of size

there's vector layers and rash layers

rash are the usual ones for artistic work since they give you better detail

but they can't scale with size
