Dieselpunk mech designs that, actually look very transitional phase

What I mean is, they look clunky and like prototypes. Look at the Armor and how it's built

#

It looks like they were basing their armor.plating and what not off the old Napoleonic era body armor placement hence why they have some huge exposed joints and areas. It really gives them a feeling of being truly prototypes for a new era of warfare approaching, same as how the first battle tanks would become

#

The Empire is the most grounded biome and has the most historical basis (next to the Japan biome but with less supernatural) which makes them look so unique.

#

As for the lighting and cyborg girl, well, like I said, exaggerated, and our main bad from Stronghold is a mad scientist..of course there's some exaggeration, it's a dieselpunk biome

It actaully is very funny, considering the history of the fairfolk came to be

namely people finding stone arrows and thinking these must've been magic and belonging to some strange creature, because who the hell uses stone arrowheads? The stones must be able to pierce metal but the magic has run out.
