the only way an area could be the final journal entry to be unlocked is if all of its enemies and specific items were collected beforehand

#

jungle, tidepool, temple, and volcana are all the only optional areas

#

jungle has hedjet, tidepool has excalibur, temple has scepter, city of gold, and duat

#

duat and abzu both hold the tablet of destiny, but they both are boss arenas with their own specific bosses

#

so there's no actual way to discover an area without save editing

#

and if you undiscover the dwellings, you practically erase your save file.
