Part of the problem is that the more adaptation options I add. The easier they become to kill since they aren’t adapting to damage

No but if you say throw him in water so he adapts to that instead of damage it becomes a lot easier to set that up on purpose and burst damage
Why can't he adapt to multiple things at once?
The way the adaptation works is that over time he gains "adaptation points" (This time is reduced when he takes damage as well). Once he has an adaptation point and encounters some obstacle (Damage, a negative effect, unable to reach a target, low health) he'll spend a point to gain some new ability. So if I give him more things to spend those points on then he has less to use for damage reduction
Hmm idk to me it would make sense that if you place him into water and fight him there, it would be like "messing with his senses" type of thing and adapting to one specific thing would take longer.
But yeah what I have now tested him multiple times, against flying opponents he always gets stuck either in water or in the ice mages spawned cubes, or just goes chasing horses and chickens : D.

and also being able to use the spells on the swords via reactive would be cool asl 🥹
like if the sword in your hand had harm amp on it or smth w reactive 4
it would fire with the target being the thing the sword hit
it would cause issues with recursion tho so if you were gonna do smth like that you'd have to disallow swords from being summoned if being procced by a conjured blade
but other than that it should allow for some bullshit fun interactions!

Upgrading from awakened lightning armor to void armor isn’t working. I have a full source jar, 4 mana diamonds, 4 void souls. It just says no recipe found
Only thing I can think of is that the void souls I’m using come from drygmy farming Adam before updating the mod

Ten Shadows Summon status effect conflicts with antidote item from artifacts mod
For some reason it counts as a debuff, so antidote tries to shorten its duration. But it has infinite duration so it ends up disappearing. The summons basically disappear 0.1 seconds after summoning. Unequipping antidote results in summons working fine
I also can’t seem to unlock any shadow after Nue. I’ve beaten the rabbits and the deer, but they’re not unlocked. The rabbits I just threw a domain at cause they were annoyingly fast. The deer I stabbed (enchanter’s sword, had ignite lightning on it, might’ve died from burn damage from fire caused by lightning strike? Does fires caused by lightning still count as my kill???)
I can take a look, but that is kinda on the antidote.
As for the second question it checks for any damage that’s been done by an entity that isn’t you. I may have to look into that.

The antidote item only reduces duration of debuffs while leaving buffs alone. Though I have no idea if the code is just a huge list of what to touch and what not to touch, or if status effects have buff / debuff labels and it just checks that

Oh, also I tried to hit that same unknown something with the same spell I killed rabbit and deer with. But I forgot to switch off ten shadows (confirming if deer work), so I summoned deer right before that something died. If that matters???

Just speculation but the charm may not have liked Mahoraga forcibly preventing you from having positive effects (one of his possible adaptations)

Did some testing. Summoning focus works on Mahoraga. I can get Mahoraga to cast domain using this
I can’t damage Mahoraga, but I can debuff him (no damage over time like poison). Exception is Lightning. No matter the source, Mahoraga takes damage from lightning
Not sure how Mahoraga will work with necromancy focus’ revive summons as stronger version when they die trait, because I’m not strong enough to kill my tamed Mahoraga with just lightning

i was testing mahoraga adaptation and it looks like after some adaptations he stop adaptating to new forms of damage.Is this a proposital mechanic our is just a bug.

Alright, a way to control what Mahoraga (and the other shadows too, if they use same code) attacks is kinda needed. Because Mahoraga's jumping anything and everything that moves. It's like, if I get jumped by a mage near my cow farm and I pull out Mahoraga... I want him to go after the mage, not wipe out all my cows with a world cutting slash. I haven't summoned Mahoraga near my pets because I'm not risking it, but he'll probably jump them too
Maybe an item that pulls up a menu of filters? Could just use General's Wheel for that. A menu of behavior settings? Attack everything, attack neutral / hostile / passive mobs, only attack if Mahoraga takes damage, only attack if summoner takes damage, etc. Don't attack summoner's pets no matter what (cause pets from mods and aoe attacks are a thing). Toggle for attacking / not attacking / only attack if damage taken for other players. Then a text box for players to enter mob IDs / player usernames to add them to the list of attack / don't attack, for further customization, or in case of exceptions where Mahoraga doesn't recognize something as an enemy / ally
So you could do something like set Mahoraga to not attack players in general, then enter an username as an exception to that rule just because you really don't like that one guy. Or set Mahoraga to attack all hostile mobs, except for wither skeletons cause I need to kill those with a looting sword for wither skulls
A way to ban Mahoraga from using aoes is probably also necessary, so he doesn't wipe out pets / ally players by accident. Unless the friendly fire protection for the summoner also extends to pets?
Using the summon spell again to unsummon Mahoraga works, but it replaces him with untamed divine dogs
every time I get hit by an auto spell turret, I get disconnected with this error
For enchanter's stopwatch, right click increases cast time by 1, hold with offhand then right click increases cast time by 10 (journal entry does not mention this). Left click does nothing. Can't decrease the cast time

Testing out infinity with a skeleton. Kinda hard due to not knowing the duration of it. The arrows blocked by it does not despawn, even after all the arrows not blocked by it have despawned. It's also been 13 minutes. They still count as entities when I tested a spell with chain on them. Feels like this might build up into a problem over time if the amount of entities just keep increasing and increasing
Managed to get rid of them with the command
/kill @e[type=minecraft:arrow]
using the pull variant of infinity with Self glpyh causes this same error
also it doesn't affect the arrows stopped by infinity

Shikigami ritual. Craft the tablet. Need 5 tablets, and 10 mana diamonds total
Tablet = dog
Tablet + 1 mana diamond = Nue
Tablet + 2 mana diamonds = Rabbit
Tablet + 3 = Deer
Tablet + 4 = Mahoraga
The ritual summons them, you have to defeat them. Do not use lightning. Beating them with lightning does not count. Fire also might not count

I mean, it’s a ‘neutral’ effect. I didn’t make it beneficial so that other things I made that target beneficial effects don’t target it
Ah, that’s probably it then. Minecraft effects seem to always be beneficial or not. So because you didn’t tag it as beneficial, it’s treated as a negative effect

@elder ridge due to this incident. I think it’s because using infinity to pull stuff on a player causes the error. Someone else also mentioned having this same problem
It’s probably only happening to you in the void because those auto spell turrets come with an infinity pull spell built in

When annihilate is cast on a block that has entity in it, the spell damages it, but if the entity is flying, it doesnt seem to damage it
And dismantle doesnt seem to damage flying entities either
Limitless self-"infinity" application only really works as intended when used with Underfoot, not 
When used with self, stopped projectiles stay in same space the air for the duration of limitless, regardless of how close you're standing
When used with underfoot, the "aura" follows you and once you step away from the projectiles, they continue flight

and it's not that the "Infinity" application of limitless leaves projectiles in the air, its that when you move away from those affected entities, they're still in the air as if you never moved away

Dunno about Holy Knight. I avoided boss areas the moment I figured out most auto spell turrets came with pull installed

It’s not a natural trait, but an adaptation. If I remember correctly, Sukuna was hitting Mahoraga so hard he was getting thrown all over the place. So Mahoraga adapted to that and grew bigger over time (more weight) to make it harder for him to be knocked around. Basically an anti-knockback adaptation

For size changing, there’s this mod that makes it so most mobs (both vanilla and modded) can have their size changed, and provides a bunch of options to make it easier for modders. Works for both 1.20 and 1.21. Should be helpful

Oh right. I remember you mentioning an issue with how Mahoraga has to build up adaptation points before it can adapt, so players can throw a bunch of different conditions at him to make him waste points, which is why you don’t really want to add more adaptations
How exactly does the point system work? Is it the same amount of points for every adaptation? Is there discounts for similar ones? For example, slowness, snare, knock back, etc. Those all affect his movement, so learning one makes the other two cheaper because they’re related

I could make some things cost more but then he'd probably just always use up all of the points on the cheaper ones
The other option is that I add more things but he gets points quicker. But that could make fighting him way harder if they did all get funnelled towards damage reduction

What if you do something like partial refunds? Everything still costs 1 point, but if he learns an adaptation related to one he already has. He gets 0.5 points back. This way he won’t spend all his points on cheaper adaptions, but he won’t be completely screwed by learning a bunch of similar adaptations?

Fight Club. Traps target in a dome with skeletons. The reset is needed for the skeletons to spawn inside the dome, and not on top of it. The 3 aoes are needed because the skeletons tend to spawn 2 blocks above the ground
Kinda weak with just basic skeletons, though if you increase glyph limit and add 2 amps, they'll have diamond swords, or 3 amps for netherite axes. Or just split for more skeletons

I've been struggling to kickstart ars plus line of addons.
Issue is getting the mage cloth.
Using tablet of summon mage does not guarantee you get the two cloth back you put into making the tablet.
Using Looting 3 and Despoil 3 šword with +2 Luck.
Getting the mages in open world made me want to speedrun rope and chair. Killed a bunch and got 4 cloth over 6 days of in-game time, made two tablets and wound up with total of 5 cloth after finishing 😄
Tip for newcomers, dont bother hunting them, make a ritual of containment next to ritual of summon mage, catch them all for drygmy farming.

I have a json file on github that upon the mod loading it'll try to access online. But there's also a version of this file within the local mod file. I added the option to load from the local file since it causes less errors but means you don't get new additions until the next update

Sets up a one time use rune that checks your inventory for a warp scroll and uses that to tp anyone who steps on the rune. Does not consume the scroll
If you upgrade the warp scroll to a stabilized warp scroll, it’ll teleport between dimensions

You can put custom spell books or weapons inscribed with stuff maybe? Like a pool of community made spells and items. Would also serve to show people what can and cant be done maybe
One thing i did in my last server was inscribe spells onto random items i enchanted with reactive (a blaze rod) and put a fireball spell to let ppl who didnt wanna do ars do magic still for digging or healing etc

Hey I tried imbuing the mage ritual with essences and elemental soul, and its not working. It worked before but i think the recent update might have bugged it out so I cannot summon mage bosses (i tried with ancient mage and the ritual would just not accept the items needed to summon it)

You don't use elemental soul on the ritual, you create the eye thingy and then use it to augment the summon mage ritual on the structure of the mage you want to summon

yeah, I've tried a lot of different combinations of those 2 and it just doesn't work properly for me

I'm gonna try, I don't use that many extend time
I don't think that's the problem but costs nothing to try
Skeletons slide a little bit but none of the enemies that go toward you slide

Usually you use it with the clock thing charm so it keeps casting automatically

I filled the entrances with rocks, this stops them at least temporally
But you can probably do the ritual just above the structure and it will work

You need to augment the ritual with the eye thingy of the mage you want to summon

where to find the archmagi rest place and how to summon all of them
The rest place of the arhmage is in the end
And to summon the bosses you need tou use the ritual of summon mage augment it withe the eye of the boss you wanna kill while in the rest place of the respective boss
Use the Eye of "whatever element you need" to locate the structure like an Ender Eye. Then use a ritual of mage summon inside the structure with the Eye

I see that its probably intended as the tradoff. It Is kind of awfull tho with grave mod. because its unusable in pvp otherwise it would destroy all the items
You have to find the respective boss structure, use the ritual of mage fight(I think is what it's called?), then augment it with the respective elemental eye
And the elemental eyes can be used like eyes of ender to find said structures

Just use burst -> annihilate so it only targets entities. Or use a filter if those are available
