Basically like any enchanter's tool, it cast an assigned spell when thrown and hit a mob, or used like a sword to inflict a less powerful version of said set spell, it consume Mana by coming back like Loyalty, but if enchanted with Loyalty, it will not consume Mana when coming back, saving for a potential next spell

If you want, you can try Expanded Combat’s Ars Nouveau plugin.
It adds several enchanter’s weapons including a spear, scythe, and katana to name a few.
