Scry ritual once you get your first.

To get that first, probably void jar for netherrack, and something like touch break aoe 4

I'd use a linger-sensitive-break with more aoe and pierce but no amplify to break down everything that an iron pick could break (so not netherite)

Mage block is also pretty nice for draining lava pockets. Main thing is just mine out a decent sized area low down until you find one. Then scry (with manipulation essence) to get a stack

Add more aoes if you want. Chaining after the first couple pierce will drastically increase the size of the cave

I used a void jar for netherrack, a scry ritual to find more, and a touch chain break amp because it's cheap and exposes reasonably large areas
