When doing something like freeze cold_snap freeze cold_snap freeze cold_snap freeze cold_snap on an enchanter's sword with a water_focus for the IFrame skip, or wall propagator_arc cold_snap , FPS absolutely tanks because of the amount of flying block entities.

If possible, i'd like a option to deactivate the new animation. Its great in itself and im glad the spells get so much love, but its not feasable to try anything excessive with Cold Snap anymore, as no computer will be able to handle such a chaos.

#

I also wondered if its possible to download an older version and change the exchange animation files, but still keep the the rest of the newest version on the server. Would that be possible?

Its not an animation, they are entities that are spawned in the world like falling blocks.

Sure, but this doesnt adress the issue tho :D

I mean the issue is that it is being spammed which wouldnt normally work without a focus that bypasses frames from another mod

There are lots of glyph combinations that can tank your FPS, the rework is designed around the base mod

in base its also spammable, given the right conditions.
It was fine before and worked flawlessly. All i'm asking is for a possibility to reverse the change for my own enjoyment

I mean, that does seem like a fair ask. Even without the non-base iFrame skip, lower end machines can have issues with it. Could be a zero-mana glyph one could add to change particle (or entity in this case) effects.

#

Granted that is extra work. But I also find the new version unusable. Not for performance reasons, just harsh visual spam.

Ill sadly be reverting to a more functioning version until it gets fixed
