eh, not really. You need to be careful sending stuff to the void. Entities tend to unload before they despawn. If there's too many in one spot and someone manages to load them in again the server will suffer greatly.

I've seen endermen farms where the pearls were voided kill servers when someone fell over the edge of the platform.
