Far as I know, porting is ongoing but since college is also ongoing again there might not a lot of time for it
I'm absolutely gonna move to 1.19.2 as my main version when I feel ready for it. But I can't develop two version at once, and on my personal server I have 1.18.2, so it makes more sense to me to keep developing that for now so that I can actually play with all the cool features I add lol.
Plus, I sorta want 1.18.2 to feel like a feature complete version before I abandon it and a couple things are sorta half-finished. I'll probably end up doing a 2.8 version with all the missing stuff like a basic celestial path, finishing achievements, and finishing the misc half-done glyphs and items, and then I'll port all that (and the missing things) to 1.19.2 and not look back (well, probably a couple months of fixing any major bugs still but no more features at all).
oh also, 3 new jar types and 4 new resource types (kinda):
-light jar: stores moonlight or starlight
-blood jar: can store blood or ichor
-dust jar: can store a variety of dust items both from vanilla and from the mod. Might even add support for other mods lol why not. Holds like 512 or something, why not.
moonlight: collected with a moonlight crystal, collects faster near full moon
starlight: not sure how you'd collect it yet
both of them would be moved with moonlight prisms and
they'd be used in celestial infusion and in blessing casting
blood: collected via some ritual or sigil and nearby mob deaths.
ichor: similar to blood but with boss mobs only.
both of them would be moved... somehow I guess
and be used in demonic infusion and in curse casting
light jar could give off more light as it filled more
same with the dust jar if used with certain dusts like glowstone dust
oh it's easy! Starlights are found in ruined portals, as they already seem like a unknown meteor that fell on earth

Otherwise, like in terraria, they'd simply be a item that falls from the sky in a specific structure, to make it easier than just making it fall anywher

It just occurred to me that with the addition of Stable Warp Scrolls to AN 1.19.2, the Tablet of Open Portal may be deprecated content, excepting the cases where a player wants a permanent portal.
Still relevant in 1.18.2, but maybe not so much in 19.2+.
Sidenote on this, I'll put a patch in the next ver of elemental to cancel collateral spell damage if there is a filter right before the damage glyph

In 1.18 they used to be other guidebooks for the weirder items so I think they do that
In 1.18 I've since changed it so the info is all in locked entries and obtaining those books just unlocks those entries. Makes using the search and stuff easier
they actually aren't supposed ot have a recipe, I didn't see the point since they don't have that much necessary information and each one tells about the area you're guaranteed to find one in.
you might be looking for the Arcane Compendium which is a different item and SHOULD have a recipe, it details all the more advanced items your documentation might be missing
also @deep sluice do you accept code submissions for Ars Omega? If you lack time to fix bugs i could always take a crack at fixing lesser bugs

the ritual of perma flight crashed my server on 1.19.2 and i cant get it back on again without removing the mod
that's the risk of using alpha versions. At a guess it might be because of the consume source bug described directly above your message, but I'm not the author and can only guess. Removing the brazier with the ritual of perma flight might work instead of removing Omega completely
thats what i did with the ritual of shaping when it crashed
probably best to avoid all Omega rituals that need source for now

What is the required spell to turn a golden apple into an enchanted golden apple? The spell used to work for me, but at some point it must have changed, cuz now it asks for either 9 Advanced Amplify or 18 regular Amplify- but those are impossible, right? Just to do 9 AA, it would be a spell length of 11, because you need 1 form, 1 Enchant, and then 9 AA

wizard towers can spawn in pretty much any overworld biome
but demon realm structures should also have ancient shards

Not a single one, no- I will admit, the server I'm on has a mod, Loot Chests- but all that does is give every player their own instance fo the loot in the chest, it still follows the drops for that type of chest

Because it’s meant to be a floating item on the ground then use the enchant glyph.

Hello. i just started playing the 1.16.5 forge, i dont seem to understand how to use the enchant spell to create enchanted golden apples
you need more advanced amplifies than fit in the spell when using the spellbook, so you have to use a casting device like the wand or a staff
i tried casting it with the base spell book but i saids i need more mana, i have 450 mana but i dont know how to select the item i want to enchant, i tried with self + enchant but says i dont have enough mana
firstly you cast enchant on an item entity, an item dropped on the ground
secondly yeah it will take a decent bit of mana to make something like a notch apple
LOL that's the one thing they AREN'T doing wrong, last I checked self does work
you need to get a LOT more mana my dude

I assume after Omega fully updates to 1.19.2 the Arcane robes will have better threads than the enchanter's wool robes as another difference, though that depends on how So-So wants it.
I was gonna scrap the new armor entirely and just add a way to upgrade all the armor sets to tier 4 with arcane blooms

The transmute spell is not working in chorus flowers, the descriptions says it turns them into swither skulls

Why isn't my transmute spell working?
Transmute only works on item entities, not blocks or items in your hand. Additionaly, for higher level transmute spells, you'll need a focus of alchemy (or even advanced one) as well as some levels of amplify. On 1.18 and above, this can be seen in JEI too.
Why isn't my enchant spell working?
To enchant honey bottles and golden apples, you'll need to add a bunch of levels of amplify. For golden apples in particular, you'll need at least 18 levels of amplify, which is 9 amplify 2s. They won't fit if you also have a form, so you'll need to use a casting tool like the wand. Also, you'll need a lot of mana for this. Not sorry, get better gear if you want that much power.
Update since 1.19: you might need enough experience as well, 40 levels for 1 golden apple.
What's the most powerful spell?
Not sure, divine smite has a ton of raw damage, but heartstop avoids the protection of armor. Also, other tier 4 spells have plenty of utility uses. Read the worn notebook for more info.
What's the best spell school?
They all have pretty good damage potential except nature and alchemy, which are more support / utility schools. Alchemy in particular is great for both resource management and defense.
how do I get gorgon gems?
Gorgon caves, which counterintuitively are structures that spawn on the surface of the world.
Where can I find the missing worn notebook entries / other books?
The arcane compendium is crafted, and the other two books which unlock notebook entries can be found in the relevant structures.

Yes! It's fully released there now.

If you don't see anything at all, see above. If you're missing only later info about the demon realm, you'll need to find that info in stuctures in the demon realm. Exploration is key here.
Where do I find the structures in the demon realm?
They are found on the surface of the dimension. The most important one is made of stone brick, and is key to progression.
How do I get back from the demon realm?
Find a demonic rift, which looks like demonic stone with yellow cracks. It'll send you back to the overworld.
What if I find a bug?

I don't have enough mana to use summon wither, what do I do?
You'll probably need a focus mana boost, and remember that learning more glyphs improves max mana.
How do I use the diamond glyph?
The diamond glyph converts alchemical stone into different ores, based on the number of amplifies. Despite the name you cannot make real diamonds, only "alchemical" diamonds which are similar but used in fewer recipes. The alchemical stone recipe can be found on JEI.

Advanced amplify < Amplify II in that instance. TMG amplifies harder than Ars Omega and the combination of both turns things insane
Because the notebook has the description for the ritual of cleansing on the page for ritual of change biome
you sure that wasn't amplify III? Because amp III, which is from a different addon, is worth 4 amplifies, thus 5 of them are worth 20 amplification (more than the 18 I said you need)
change biome is fairly simple. Craft a biome crystal, right click in the biome you want to change to, and sacrifice that to the ritual of change biome. Then start the ritual and make sure it has source.

Your debug-information will show that you're standing in the new biome instead of the old one.
The Grass color will change to that of the new biome.
Generally, the game will behave as if whatever area you're standing in is the new biome.

Oh, apologies, it worked- so I was using a bunch of source jars that had 5% in them, to try and clear them, turns out it required the source come from one single jar

If your referring to what I think you are, its a relatively simple reason for why it spawned as it did. Block id nonsense. You can read more about it in the messages following the image im replying to.

Is there any combination of trinkets (amulet, rings, etc) that allows me to both have mana and good mana regen? Or is the idea to be swapping to the Focus of Mana to cast big spells? For example, I have two arcane rings and the arcane amulet of mana regen but I can't cast the wither spell even once without putting on the focus of mana.

Your best bet is the Battlemage Set, but Omega isn't set up to handle the new Ars Nouveau Armor System yet so you might not want to do that (no threads etc)
If you do decide to go ahead and craft it, remember to remove all threads from the set, otherwise they will probably go poof

Conjure Construct, as a glyph or ritual. As a glyph, you'd have a schematic in your offhand. As a ritual, sacrifice the scematic to the brazier.
The difficulty with a glyph is supplying the materials. A ritual could use storages near the ritual to conjure the building.
Essentially, it would become the Ars version of the Create "SchematiCannon".
Maybe this idea belongs in Creo thread...
thing is Creo requires Create (Obviously), so they already have access to the SchematiCannon
not much point in giving them what is essentially an Ars version

I have no clue if its been discovered or not but on the alpha using the arcane staff I can't even cast projectile -> harm, it adds 3 advanced amplifies to the harm glyph but the maximum allowed is two so it fails

The other being that leap does no kinetic damage and cancels all your fall damage
It would totally be better if you had to live with your choices of flying 100 blocks into the air with leap and not being able to just use it close to the ground to negate all fall damage yeah
The decision on limited amplifies wasn't necessarily a bad one either way though, it prevents amplify spam and therefore forces more complex spells to increase damage

I'll switch it to a tulip. A powerful damage glyph at T1 though? Interesting. The only powerful T1 damaging glyph I was considering was Conjure Explosive, which would create a lit TNT at the target location.
(And tag it as duplicated, so no Entropinnyum hijinks.)
Well... not exactly, but Ancient Harm would be either a rare find in chests, an endgame craft, or both.
The TNT fuse delay would make dealing reliable damage with it a challenge, but it should provide a way to do explosion-based mining and/or crafting (hi Pneumaticraft).
It’s not powerful powerful, but it’s pretty good for a tier 1

@deep sluice A friend of mine is being a bit mean and refusing to upgrade her book to tier 4 because it loses the dye- do you think you'll add that at some point, that the books can still be dyed at that tier?

You know if you use a texture pack, anything can be dyed lol
That way once it is implemented, the texture pack can just be disabled and the book dyed normally. Ta da, your friend is happy.

I found this out when I'm using an Enchanter's Eye with a (Projectile -> Interact) bound to a Scry Crystal pointing to a Storage Lectern [Meaning when I use the Enchanter's Eye, it will open the Storage Lectern, via the spell Interact]
But while I have the Area of Protection status, the Enchanter's Eye fails to open the Storage Lectern

quick question myself, got on Enigmatica 8, perhaps I installed Ars Omega (forget) but now Elemental and other mods seem to be rolled back, no elemental armor, glyphs missing, etc.
Is there any version of MC where Omega, Nouveau and Elemental all coexist at their newest version or close?
Enigmatica 8 is a 1.18.2 if I recall. though it might be worth checking the versions of the mods

rather than just use a texture pack, can you just manually edit the skin? I've seen people put custom paintings and banners in vanilla, is the book texture un-filetype-locked enough to just paint it the desirable color?
I also recall that when I did that thing with the book using netherite to make it unburnable, it turned black
What exactly do you mean with edit the skin... cause the only way to edit a texture without using a texture pack (that I know of) is to download the mod files, edit the texture there, and built the jar yourself. Inconvenient to say the least.
oh yeah the jar files, but that's how modding worked back in the day if I recall. Didn't think it was that hard

Oh yeah glyphs all work from what I’ve tested. I mean a few textures aren’t there but that’s not something I expect to be done in the alpha to be honest
