If an established group has changed states and has to start a new alliance shell it will put them in rookie as well. Which is why you will see large stronger alliances in the lower levels.

For RW and aw does the game go by might or by the tech tree for matching?

I realize matchmaking is done by bracket BUT do they go one step further and try to match alliances of similar size within the bracket also? Or is it a waste of time? No. It used to be eons ago but they changed this at least a year ago when they introduced affinity grades.
Pairings are based on timeslot first and foremost (as it’s possible to be paired with alliances from different affinity grades if there aren’t enough signed up in a timeslot from each affinity grade to pair all of them with the same affinity), and number of trophies within your affinity grade is the next criteria

We once got matched with a farm alliance. Buff HQ35 and their dozen HQ29 farms. It was not a pretty sight.
We were in Veteran II and both Elites the last few times and keep getting matched with much stronger overall might alliances from 400+ states older than us. Had naps for each but still managed to demolish them in points. Mainly because we have a beastly rider that's now up to hq35 lol.

Maybe they have a low amount of players showing up for the event, maybe they have a monster with a lot of might that dont know how to use it properly. My alliance meet stronger alliances all the time, sometimes you get positively surprised 🙌

Well it’s pretty screwed up when your highest guy is in the 300’s and the rest of us >130m with most well under 100. And the teams you face have bil players and 2b players and several above 700m with their smalls being greater than 200m

It’s really about luck and chasing the trucks.

Hello everyone, can someone please explain to me why, almost everyone, doesn't want HQ hits from the safe zone in a NAP in RW/clash. It's not that I want to attack from the safe zone, but I also don't want to constantly keep an eye on hobby players in my alliance. I just don't understand it, are they all players who port in the mud at zenith to make a fair HQ hit? only with the difference that you can lose troops in zenit and not in RW/clash.

Imma say it as how I see it. We almost always have no hits from safe zone if we negotiate naps. It's a coward move to hit someone that can't hit back. Step out and have a fair fight.

That's where you explain the nap terms agreed upon. If an inexperienced player goes rogue or doesn't listen to the nap fix it asap. Make sure they pull out and acknowledge in battle chat you are tryna fix the situation. Oops moments happen even when a nap deal is explained and understood. You won't be considered nap breakers over it unless you let it happen multiple times and don't fix it

I want to have fun for 1 hour and if something like this happens, I don't want to turn away from the fight and then only write in the chats to fix it. RW/clash should be fun, troops are coming back, the majority of the members of an alliance don't make hits from the safe zone

If it isnt in writting, it isnt clear. And if someone is such a dishonourable coward to want to hit you while they stay safe, they probably can’t be trusted anyway.

Why? If you have inexperience players, or just dumb ** who do it for giggles, they can come back and say they didn’t know. Detailed explanations save a lot of headache.
If the person being targeted is really concerned, they can port out f the way, then the one marching wastes time and a march for nothing.

I'm with StraGaMi. It's stupid in my opinion. If I'm sitting in a bunch of towers I don't really feel inclined to leave just to have a go at a guy parked in the grass. The point is that I don't want to control it, we all have the same opinion and jump into the mud to fight and because there are 1-2 players in every alliance we pack the NAPs with rules for an event that goes 1 hour and that is dominated more by the water truck (which often only drives to one side).

I don’t hit from the gray since i feel it’s a chicken ** move.

Really depends how outmatched you are. If it’s one big player doing the damage and holding buildings just remember that they only have 5 marches just like everyone else. Can’t be everywhere at the same time. If it’s completely lopsided I usually just throw in the towel and try to get some kills and have fun. Lol

Single troops to occupy when outmatched is helpful for a few reasons but mainly cuz they save u a march back when they die. But that’s different than attacking with one. My advice is look at the points. Often ur better off not stopping trucks because of time. Also not all buildings are equal. Also if u can’t occupy because of time etc. There is a lot of factors overlooked in this event. If ur team is really that bad off teach them to gather. Nuka ore can win a match if ur persistent it also is better than itty bittys taking up valuable space in towers with their small troops….

Just another fantastic example of how naps have made people complacent in this event…. The trucks going to the same doom is only an issue when the event has doom napped. If people want to avoid this they can nap three towers instead of doom+2….. or they can add longer free for all’s so the lopsided battles can be fought out at the end. The event isn’t built for naps…. Naps came secondary. Hence the poor matchups and lack of people that understand the event dynamics or point system.

Also with a doom 2 tower nap some will ask for a 10 to 15 minutes at the end to free hit everything. I've yet to actually face a team that gets mad about doom and water trucks from what I know of but that may be due to us fighting over the actual good buildings

Yeah, the update about a month ago is when that specific display issue showed up. There have always been some various issues (really varied on model/age/brand/operating system). But this specific issue is newer.

We gave them NAP on 2 towers and doom fort which was plenty to get points on Pro I tier and they kept name calling and complaining wanting a field hospital or something extra. We said no to extra buildings because they didn’t need it and we could get stitched up by the trucks and end up losing. The match below us was 24bn vs 58bn.

Is it wrong to say no? Especially during alliance clash if we have over 50 showing up and need points. One alliance was butthurt we didn’t vacate a tower for them at the end when they could’ve competed with the other alliance for 2nd. Omg I had so much fun today. Feels good to be roughly evenly matched (with the exception of me). Way better than getting stuffed by states 3× as old as us.
I was able to solo their field Hospital with my tertiary fighter "team." Then held it from over a dozen solo attacks. Did that several times over. I think between tower 8 and fh1, I had at least 50 successful battle logs.

The only reason I look at gear (sometimes chips) is to determine what their focus is. But if they have 9-star+ gear I may be worried. That takes a lot of materials to do so it's more likely they'll be strong.

It will be the closest match in corp affinity. So if you have 10 points and the closest has 11 in your time slot. That's probably who your facing

It's fair. If yall on a win streak eventually you get slapped down. Since it's based on affinity there's times people will start a new alliance and have to work their way back up that's another reason why matches will be unfair. Also with tourney over alliances are probably starting to neutralize back out to normal ranges

Everyone plays differently definitely. I think it's all about trial and error what works for yall. Rally when you know you can't solo take something know when your at your limits and can't take something. You can chase trucks. We could tell yw a million different ways to play and it may not work for you

We typically as for closest Doom and 2 Towers; Ffa last 15 minutes, no scouts from the mud, And chase trucks with our 3 biggest. I guess if I had to focus on one thing to concentrate on and not ask for something so broad; I guess, is there a more effective troop type to fill buildings we capture? Some players have bounced around filling with troops that match the host, others have talked about filling with cars and saving main troops for Ffa. Just trying to figure which way to test out next, see if anyone out there has a different approach with better results, e.c.t

That's why people bounce. Don't always needs strongest holding if it's not super reined you can have stronger filling in behind. Our biggest rally holders tend to be our strongest

If they're super reining, then their stats are the only that matter, so it's better to send troops that suits them, if they have balanced stats all around anything helps, but if they're highly specialized in one troop, then better send that

Turns out our other big was there too but it was pretty fun. Stole a mil base solo then we tanked a few super rallies.
Lots of bonfires at the end. Got double teamed by 30s but I took them both out, 11 hits and 4 hits to zero them 😂

I've been having some fun in these new state water wars. We've only been matching with our battle division it seems. We have 2 t11s and myself as the heavy hitters. All fighters, but my troop atk is high and secondary focus is shooters so I can play multiple roles. Few other decent t10s too.
So far we've really only steamrolled our opponents.
We had a good fight today though. We fought against an alliance we had last week in 3-man.
Lots of super rallies, some back and forth on footholds but we always took em back. I nearly solod a full field Hospital from halfway across the map. One more hit would've taken it but our super rally finally hit.
We ranked up to star 1 today so we might fight some stronger alliances now, who knows. But we need to get more coordinated. We keep ending up with mixed reinforcements so we've gotta work on that plus having more coordinated attacks.

How common is no nap?

Not very common in my experience. Like in my old alliance I think we literally had 2 no-nap fights. One was against a very strong 35 (we didn't have t11s yet) and his farm alliance. Never spoke a single word to us. That was in a clash so we napped with the other alliance.
The other time was against SAG/KUMA when they were in 589.

Lol. I can respect the no nap... haven't experienced it yet. We're back and forth from legend to whatever is under legend because of our flexible event times...sometimes I can make it, sometimes I can't. Swapped my accounts for this fortnight to help my other friends out and learn from them (they're much more experienced) so main alliance probably could have easily been no nap'd this week

I've taked about this before but i dont respect the nap refusal. It's extememely unlikely that having 3/16 footholds will cause you to win.
So not letting your opponents get at least their participation points is rude to me.

Kinda what I figured. We just haven't spent a lot of time in legend to get a feel for it yet. I usually send the NAP mail out shortly after reset. We're pretty flexible on everything. Not big enough to not be lol

I agree with you. Reason when negotiating nap if they won't budge just take the nap no matter what. As long as I can get bare minimum participation points idc lol I have sweet nap breaks due to them getting upset our safes kept getting truck 😂

When I was negotiating I would generally just take whatever nap they proposed. No sense in risking losing it just because we wanted to counteroffer.
