Hey everyone! 👋
I'm Daniel, and I've been building software professionally since 2006. Currently between gigs and figured I'd introduce myself to this community.
For the technical people, I'm a full-stack dev who's worked with pretty much everything over the years—started with Delphi and Java back in the day, moved through C#, PHP, C++, and now I'm mostly in the C++ and TypeScript world (Next.js/React frontend, various backend frameworks).
Some stuff I've worked on recently:
- Cut a client's page load times from 2+ seconds down to 0.2s (200ms) using Cloudflare Workers and some clever caching
- Built analytics pipelines and reporting systems for a company that needed to make sense of their data
- Cut a client's automated process down from 4h+ to 45 minutes
I love the problem-solving side of this work—jumping into messy codebases, figuring out why things are slow or breaking, and actually fixing them instead of just talking about it.
On the side, I built MetaDock, which is basically a desktop workspace for people drowning in browser tabs and apps (sadly only for Windows right now... Mac coming soon!). Started as something I needed for myself, turns out other people had the same problem 😅
Always happy to chat about tech, share war stories, or help out if anyone's dealing with tricky performance issues or architectural headaches.
