I got lucky with mine which haven't yellowed. I heard on DS you can have a homebrew app which displays a bright white screen and leave it on for a week to reduce yellowing

I just personally never could stand the 3ds resolution for 3d games. Like the models are way to high detailed but the resolution makes them so pixelated.

I too love the 3D and that Sega released some of their arcade games in 3D. Also Virtua Boi emulator is great with it! Some games require you to see the depth.

Yes, flex is better than break. But the whole pressure supported directly by the screen on a very reduced middle point is highly questionnable IMO. I would def have bought the Thor, be this issue. Imagine te console in a full bag or a pocket with 2 sides flexing and the glass screen directly on the pressure point...

You can have the best of both worlds with XR Glasses. Playing Mario 3D Land on my ROG Ally with XR Glasses for 1080p stereo 3D with no cross talk has been amazing

The dream would be if we got a PC handheld with a 7inch stereo 3D OLED screen. But I assume thats too niche and not profitable. Its not only Azahar that supports stereo 3D, but Dolphin, PSP and many PC games whether native or with hacks

Yes, exactly. I'd now like a reviewer to flex both sides simultaneously and rather quickly, as it may happen when you don't keep the console at home and don't use a case. They have got free units so they can try what regular users would hesitate to test.

And it would also be interesting to check what happens to a screen protector when the screen flexes repeatedly : does it still stick ? My guess it that due to the screen beeing in direct contact with the bits, a protector would help against wear at that specific point.

Plus how does flex vs hinge on the other side ? Many questions rise and I would have liked so much that reviewers test these points with their free units.

I had to really think about black vs. rainbow. But it’s a DS/3DS device first and foremost, it’ll have black bars on the bottom screen, and with OLED, a black system just made the most sense to me

yes, but no color would look as good as black, because black is the only color that doesn't emit any light on OLED, so it can blend more naturally with the shell

every other color will emit light, so it won't blend the same way, you'll still see where the screen begins and where it ends

yah it's in the shader parameters, forget what it's called, disabling the burn-in protection will also get rid of the weird color shift that happens every few seconds, much better than bfi with those tweaks

Regarding the tariffs.... I was trying to look online for the answer to my question and the answers seemed all over the place. My potential shipping date for my Thor is towards the end of October. I believe that tariffs come into play and are assessed when an item actually enters a country and not the date when shipped. If thats the case then I stand a good chance of being assesed a tariff fee. My question is: can I refuse to pay the fee and just have my Thor returned back to Ayn OR am I liable for the fee no matter what once my Thor enters the USA and the tariff fee is assessed? I want to wait as long as possible to see if this tariff issue is resolved but if its not and I am getting closer to my shipping date I need to know if I just need to cancel my order to stop being forced to pay the tariff fee if I will be forced to pay it and cant have my Thor returned back to Ayn.

Another benefit of all the extra “headroom” of the 8gen2 is that in theory you get much better battery life when doing tasks that are maxing out the 865. So if 1080p PS2 is maxing the 865 at 100% wattage, it may only need half the power on 8gen2.
