There’s probably many reasons for something to crack or not. But from what I read. Solid color plastic tends to use ABS which is tougher and translucent plastic uses ABS-PC blend which is more brittle

Ah, that's when the top is pressed against the lowe half. It can easily be cleaned off... unless you don't clean it for super long

My n2ds has a lower stick (I swapped it) and it stopped happening, and that can happen in any model as far as I know

But that smudge you can clean up is nothing compared to the actual damage marks most 3ds models can cause with the bezel on the touch screen

No, and they don't plan on selling any specifically for the Flip 2.

For the most part, being a clamshell should keep the screen scratch free as long as you're not wiping sand over it with your fingers.

You can probably find a screen protector that'll work for it though if you really want.

Though I feel a plastic screen protector might dull the OLED a bit and a tempered glass one might be too thick so hold off on purchasing until we find out screen clearance when closed.

I am trying to get a feel of the size but I don't have a n3ds. The size is actually very close to RG40XXV when rotated.

The thickness gets pretty close too if you add the white foam that comes with the device. It definitely feels very thick.

But because of the thickness it feels quite comfortable.

I though of this a while ago when I saw the screenshots. Use the grooves to make it flushed and use the screw holes to anchor the grip and stop it from moving. Maybe extend it on the top to the fan holes and make it clip onto them.

The flip 1 grip uses the screw holes to anchor but apparently it comes out easily. Perhaps the grooves are added to improve the attachment.

I did. Bought two black. Originally, I was going to get one ice blue, and one black, but... I... Don't like the green. I'm sorry, maybe it's blue to you folks, and I know glaciers can have a blue green tinge, but that, for me, is just green and I don't like it.
I was going to get SNES colours if the ice blue wasn't for me, but the very few videos displaying the device talked me out of it. So two black it is. Even though I can technically only afford one... But if prices increase as high as being predicted, I'll never be able to afford one again, so might as well stretch my wallet now rather than pay more (or not at all because too high) later
