In this release, I've also included the image for updating. Simply place the .tar image in the update folder on the SD card. This should preserve your saves, ROMs, and settings. However, please note that this feature is untested, and I cannot guarantee whether it will disrupt your current image or not. I recommend making a backup beforehand or having a user test it and inform others. Enjoy! 🎮

I tested two more games, Don't Starve and Stardew Valley. Stardew Valley even opens, but it doesn't recognize the action buttons, in addition to the GUI being disproportionate to the screen size, and Don't Starve gives an error when installing.

this rotation is just for console commands or a.k.a. terminal, you will not see it most part of time, just the first boot when system is installing and in case you want to run ports, some ports have some commands before it starts

I tested Half-Life and Sonic Mania on the AmberELEC Portmaster, and on the portmaster as a whole, the analog sticks are inverted, and in the case of Half LIfe it was not possible to remap, as it had no effect.

But all the games worked very well

if you put a random code it will put the launcher in demo mode, you cannot play anything. but this is in d007, maybe is different in E6

at least for the start select M (ESC on d007) they used the same bad choice to put them as adc-keys

they put the LEDs in GPIO but those 3 buttons they put them as adc-keys

and to give more context here about those buttons, is that none of the available OSs ( arkos, amberelec, unofficalos, emuelec, lakka, etc ) they have adc-keys so you have to recompile kernel to add support for it ... beside this, the biggest problem is that is a separate device, and not part of /dev/input/js0 and dose not support 2 buttons pressed in the same time, is one button at a time, so the code of everything needs to be changed to overcome this hardware limitation.

You need to compile it, if you are trying to use precompiled images it will not work as it does not know about the panel of E6. Better try with Arkos, to make it booting will not require any compilation, you just take OGA image and change the dtb to match the panel from E6.

I try with the kernel of e6 all bottons work but only out of the primary menu on the game all works I try on this 2048 game on past start and select works and menu also goes back not was not working because is whith stock kernel 😄

Após retirar e me atentar a questão do filepath, funcionou. É importante escolher uma versão mais antiga do emulador antes de tentar uma recente. I'm not a big fan of Ps1, but I had this problem with the PSP emulator. The solution was to look at the metadata file. There I could see the last 3 lines they start with "- -". After removing and paying attention to the filepath issue, it worked. It's important to choose an older version of the emulator before trying a recent one. Do you happen to have the original factory app and emulators as a backup?

I went into recovery mode and did a wipe, I lost everything I had on the console. Frontend, emulators, etc. From then on, the console turned on regular Android. I started installing and configuring emulator by emulator, after that I installed pegasus. If you're looking for ease, maybe daijisho would be better.

it is AmberElec, that I'm helping @candid ridge to make works on E6. In fact it is very functional, just Retroarch menu that is still upside down (but you can put games in the correct orientation), some minor problems in control mappings, but working great with almost all the other stuff

If you are asking to make a fade effect, is not possible as is a simple gpio, on or off. For fade the led needs to be on pwm. I can blink the led lower or faster

I was not able to find the gpio for left led which stays on. And @steel falcon had a very good point, that it might me a power led, so it means is hardwired and it cannot be controlled.

I suggest to try to disable it over adb, but I cannot guarantee will work, is up to you to decide

But in my opinion there is not much you can do there as android is 32bit, so you are pretty limited

Has anybody been able to get the screen orientation setting to be visible in the RetroArch menu? I'm told it needs to be done by the dev. This setting is hidden and that's what's not allowing for the retroarch menu to be flipped.

I'm not knowledgeable enough to answer thay yet. When my device arrived (very early) it didn't include a card and I had to find the configuration files. I haven't used it much but have it on hand right now. Just used it to check the RA settings because of a comment on youtube about that orientation setting

He was saying it was a simple fix for the E6 and I had to show him where to look in the video to convince him the setting was missing.

If the TrimUI Smart Pro allowing for MiniUI means it's legitimately open source than I guess it is. A lot of people are installing MiniUI

I don't know what to do about it. At this point it works fine with the games rotated 180⁰ and it's easy enough to make and access save states. Still, I'd love to have it all working properly. Just uninstall gamemt chinese character app on demo mode (volume - and power) and install the launcher you want, the next time you reboot android may ask what launcher you want to be the default, if not, you can set it on configuration menu. But if you could a backup of your android before changing anything, there is some people wanting to restore the original android but there is no way.

I've tested a lot of ports and most of them works fine. From what I remember, just Iconoclasts and Guacamelee gives me rotated screen

The problem is that not all the ports has a quit option on menu and if it's not or you turn off the device manually or you kill the process by ssh

At first installation did you let your device to finish? It will restart few times before it finishes but after will boot normally. If you interrupted the process then is normal to poweroff.

ok. better try with a different card because at first installation it needs to expand to the capacity of the sd card and if something is wrong with the capacity (fake sd card) then it will get corrupted and you get a similar behaviour
