I have had my flipper for a long time now, say 9 months, and have only gone on Github and pulled stuff like UberGuidos and Awesome Flipper files to fool around with. But now I think I want to do something more intense, like some of the stuff that you guys have in this discussion. Any ideas? I also have a 3d printer that has been not working very well lately if that helps at all.

One more thing, ive seen so many people wwith custom cases and colors wwith the screen. How do I do that?
You're in a chicken before the egg situation, you want to do cool stuff with your flipper, but don't have a project it could be used in. And most likely, coming up with a project will pull either the 'not enough skills for it' or the 'stupid idea to use a flipper in' card. Idk what to tell you, and I don't think anyone will take super long out of their own time to help you rattle your brain for something to do.
What worked for me was just seeing something I could do better and applying my skills to it (UHF RFID for flipper project, I make the board for it)
that exactly what i feel like is going on
no clue what yet but I just need to think of something
I also am in this situation.

UPDATE: For linux lovers and fedora fans out there, I just saw qFlipper available in the fedora repositories!
I got my Flipper Zero about a month ago and I've had a chance to play around with it a bit. I like the idea, but I've had a hard time finding daily use cases for my new friend! Is the Flipper Zero right for ...
Hmm looks like we need a brainstorming session 👀🦞
As for cases, you can start getting a feel for the design by prototyping with card stock or sum first and then move on to blender ✌️
You mentioned your 3d printer wasnt working too well… maybe that’s something you can apply flipper’s capabilities to? Like maybe make a list of what capabilities the flipper has, what issues the 3d printer has and see if the overlap yeilds any ideas
I dunno maybe sum like “how might i use the flippers long range control, transmission and diagnostic capabilties to anticipate failure or calibrate / fix issues with my printer”
