We're currently starting to work on it. I am returning home and will have access to my flipper to begin testing next weekend. As for the design, most of the graphics are complete, as well as a full evolution chart, and a writeup on the entire game mechanics. So soon..

@twilit maple We've been discussing mechanics and little features here and there. Probably way more things than a virtual pet for a flipper should be, but I think it will be pretty awesome in the end. I wouldn't mind building something with a mini PCB as a standalone virtual pet at this point lol
The final version will allow you to have 5 different "final forms" (if you do everything correctly), and a total of 70-75 different evolutions depending on which of the 5 different versions of "egg" you start with 😄
so a lot of graphics to draw, not including the various aliens you have to battle, training animations, space ship parts etc.

That really depends. IIRC, the flipper can only play 1 channel "beeps and boops" rather than full on sound effects? Or do you know how to make those types sound good? The flipper can scan RF ranges from 300-348 MHz, 387-464 MHz, 779-928 MHz

and if he dies from sickness or something, its permanent, you start from the beginning
but if he loses a battle, he doesn't die, he takes a stat hit
