well that's just freaking cool

any noticeable gimbal lock?

I don't think gimbal lock is possible here, as we always have the accelerometer to tell us the direction "down", and there is no significant acceleration happening otherwise.

BTW, I've got at least one spare MCU module. If anyone is interested, I could post it to you (preferably in the UK).

Great combination! any chance on getting it working with the MPU6050 i2c device?

Hey, very glad there's a place for this! I just soldered together a BMI160, (mine looks pretty similar to your alpha test posted on Github, @red lantern) and the mouse pointer 'jitters' on screen. Calibration button seems innefective.. Any ideas?

Tested on Bluetooth and USB, windows 10 and android 13.

I don't think I had that much jitter tbh... Could be some interference from SPI or something. Also, is it the genuine BMI? That is, what's the Chip ID? I think I had one "fake" BMI that wasn't as good as the original parts.

Scrolling has been added in the latest release.
On an unrelated note, if anyone wants to use the code as a base for e.g. a Bubble Level app, that would make a cool starting project for pretty much any level.
As a reminder, I've got a couple spare accel/gyro modules I could ship to you if you're in the UK. 🙂

I do not have a soldering iron or anything like that, does anyone know of any ways for me to obtain/build the hardware? I do not know if there are any websites that would do that type of thing.

In the repository, you can find the files (BOM and CPL) to place an order via JLCPCB.com, and they'll solder all the SMD components for you, but you'd still need to attach a 10-pin header yourself.

Oh ok thank you

Everything that's needed is on GitHub, in plain sight: there's four resistors and one capacitor.
