We're building a community platform called that connects businesses, consumers, and community groups through a fundraising system on Discord. We need a skilled developer to create a custom Discord bot that will handle receipt submissions, group management, and business offer tracking, with integration to a Framer website.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a custom Discord bot using Discord.js to handle our core platform functionality
- Implement receipt submission and verification workflows
- Create group management and tracking features
- Build business offer management capabilities
- Integrate with Airtable for data storage and management
- Connect Discord functionality with our existing Framer website (tbd)
- Provide documentation and training for ongoing maintenance
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years experience developing Discord bots with Discord.js
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/Node.js
- Experience with Airtable API or similar database integrations
- Understanding of Discord's forum and thread functionality
- Ability to implement secure user data handling and permissions
- Experience with image handling and basic validation
- Solid understanding of asynchronous programming patterns
Project Scope
- Development of a single bot with modular functionality
- Implementation of core features as outlined in our specifications
- Integration with existing Airtable database and Framer website
- Phased development approach
- Ongoing support and maintenance as needed
- We are flexible as to start of project date
