@wispy dragon uploaded a log, Hi! I can't open my inventory. I just started playing on a server so I don't have anything in it. When checking the logs, I seem to be having an issue with my bee pet renderer (I got one during Pride).
Is there anything I can do to disable the pet bee or should I open up a bug report?

  • Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM, version 1.8.0_351
  • Forge 36.2.39 on 1.16.5

Recommendations:

  • Unless you know what you're doing, modifying your JVM args could have unintended side effects. It's best to use the defaults.

Have you recently upgraded geckolib? I’m assuming that a newer version has an abstract method our bees don’t implement and as such it’s causing the crash. There should be a Config option in the client Config to turn off the patreon bees which may prevent the crash for now

Not sure about geckolib, E6 has v3.0.94 (updated Oct 6) in v1.6.0
I will try the config option, thank you so much for your response

update: that worked! thanks so much

Hi, sorry to bring this back up. I disabled the config option but anyone that gets near me in the server crashes due to this issue. Is it possible to have the pet bee removed from my user?

it is not. it wouldn't just affect you specifically. it would impact everyone. so it's highly likely given how new the geckolib version in E6 is that there's a conflict with us and geckolib. maybe at some point I could update the 1.16.5 version to fix it. but right now my focus is 1.19.2 with the limited dev time I have these days

sure thing, no problem :) I can look around the code see if I can find the issue

Ahh ok. I recall seeing that in 1.19 when updating the geckolib dependency version. So that would make sense. If I get some time over the next week or so where I can do a critical bug fix I’ll push a new build with the fix
