#Super Newbie-Friendly Mode (suggestion)

This game has always been super fun, but let's be honest it's not normie-friendly. A lot of people get convinced to try playing but they end up quitting after one game because it's just so complex with all the numbers and game mechanics.

So, what if people can have a mode that looks far more simple?

Much fewer details get shown. But all the systems and calculations are the same, just hidden. Normies won't really care about understanding exactly how or why they win. But they'll still get the experience of exchanging moves and then winning or losing against one another.

Eventually, some of them will be interested enough to actually learn further about how the game works, and they can get the original mode on, showing all the numbers and math and complicated mumbo jumbo

It's just a passing thought, so I'm not going into details of how much fewer details will be shown. But I think this idea will likely get more people into being willing to try a game or two.

the issue is probably the opponent they face lol

Chess pros can play blindfolded. Do the calculations in your head!

Super Newbie-Friendly Mode (suggestion)

I definitely get where you're coming from but I think the main reason it's not as accessible is how the information is organized. Since it's just text you have to display all the information all the time which can be overwhelming since in most other games a lot of stuff would be in menus, tooltips etc.

So it's definitely something I've thought about but I'm not sure it's solvable in the short term

I wanna try making a tutorial video in the future, maybe after the new engine is done because I'll have lots of time in a couple of months

I agree that the calculations and stuff look complicated and are hard to get but I think doing a tutorial to explain them would be much better then hiding em

TCG already attracts a different audience from the norm in Frierencord

I’m not sure if making it more noob-friendly would change that
